For those of you that follow Floppycats on Facebook, then you know that Trigg had a dental on May 21 as well as had a mass removed from his neck. Luckily it turned out that the mass was just a benign cyst.
Here’s what the histopathology report said:
“The section of haired skin had a discrete encapsulated follicular cyst. The cyst wall was composed of stratified squamous epithelium with gradual keratinization towards the centers which contained numerous fragments of keratin. The mass had a thick capsule.”

“The mass appeared completely excised. Dogs and cats which develop follicular cysts frequently are predisposed to developing additional cysts at other sites over time.”
Total cost for dental and cyst removal – $525.20
Here’s a video I shot of Trigg shortly after he came home:
Here’s a video of Trigg getting his stitches removed:
So Happy the cyst was benign. Great behind the scene photos and Trigg is so still when she removes his stitches…awww…what a handsome boy!
For some reason your feeds are not showing up on my facebook. I shall have to check my settings. Poor Trig, glad the cyst was nothing serious and the boy is well.
I bet Trigg is happy that’s over with – and you too! Such a good kitty, though. OMC, were you watching? I would have been a nervous wreck.
Oh, poor Triggy! So happy the cyst was benign! YAY!
Glad he’s on the mend and doing so very well!
I’m sure this was a scary time for all of you! Yikes!
Very warmest regards,
Patti & Pink Sugar 🙂 <3
Nice choppers, Trigg!
So glad his cyst was benign, and speaking as a fellow cyst-remove-ee, he was very patient and good during his treatment.
Sorry to hear about Trigg but glad he came through well and better for it!
So difficult to put them though such needed procedures. I always worry when they have to have anesthesia even though we are told it is safe. Hope your dear boy is healing up quickly.
