Submitted April 5, 2020 Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month IMG_8477 My name is Chanel and I am a 10 month of cinnamon mink Ragdoll, I have a cute little burnt nose with captivating aqua eyes! You are probably wondering why my mom named me Chanel, well when she first met me I way laying down with my paws crossed over like the fancy young lady that I am, and there was no way mommy would give me a normal name, thus I was named Chanel, Coco for short. Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month IMG_8189 I come from Longfellow Ragdolls in Olympia, WA and I am the baby out of my brothers and sisters, so even though I am 10 months old mommy and daddy say I looked more like 8 months old, but don’t let the size full you, while I am sweet and charming I can also be quite sassy for my size. Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month IMG_8490 Daddy calls me his “Rider Kitty” or his “Jedi Kitty”, because I greet him at the door next to his helmets when he comes home from a ride! As for Jedi kitty, well, I like hiding in his Jedi robe, I love him a lot but don’t tell him that. Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month IMG_7914 MY favorite time of the day though, is napping with mommy I often make biscuits on her to get ready for a great nap, and both mommy and I are foodies! Auntie Franny (mommy’s roommate) loves to take pictures of me she says I am an Instagram worthy cat, when I am mad at mommy because she won’t give me more treats, I hide in her room and cuddle with her. Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month IMG_8125 The doctors say that I might have an enlarged heart, but mommy say, that because I have a big heart I have a lot of love for my hoomans, that’s probably why I always like to great everyone at the door and give them some nice leg rubs, but for mommy and daddy I always greet them with my extra special talking. I still keep up mommy at night but she bought me this cook toy! She bought me the Catit race track that has a glowing ball inside, there is also a treat maze and a nice little area for me to eat some cat grass (don’t tell mommy but I usually use it to hunt when we play, not to it) I love it! Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month When mommy is away, I am never bored! Mommy and daddy say that I am quite a smart cookie, they have taught me how to wait, sit, high five and even play dead! Not only that when my automatic fever gives me my yummy food, they always like to see paw the machine so I can get more food, I haven’t succeeded…..yet! Chanel - Ragdoll Kitten of the Month 2 I have fascination with water when mommy or daddy are taking a shower I always jump in with them, it is the purrfect way to relax and end the day before going to bed, plus I like to make sure my white cinnamon coat is beautiful and ready to meet the rest of the university students at our student dorm, the janitor of our dorm says that I am the prettiest cat in our building, although I am the only cat, but I cannot reject such compliments! Mommy is always worried if she doing a good job since it’s her first time as a cat mom, but it’s a learning process! Just like how I learned not to bite the cables to mommy’s computer!

  1. Mary Lou Swihart says:

If the vet says she has an enlarged heart, that is something to be concerned about. She may have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which can be fatal. The breeder should have had her cats checked for this as there is now genetic testing that can be done. I had a female Ragdoll that I lost to HCM… Very sad. You should have some additional testing done by a specialist to keep your kitty in good health.
