Tessa – Ragdoll of the Week (Again)
Though I have been a Ragdoll of the Week (March 2012), things have changed a lot. I’m now 8 years old; still a Blue Bi-color Ragdoll BUT I have a new brother. His name is Bootie and is about 5 years old and the Vet Doctor has guessed he is part Himalayan-Siamese mix. I’ve never lived with another cat since I came to live with my forever Mom. I’ve been an online.
Now I wasn’t real familiar with living with another feline and things have been rocky but he now knows I’m the Diva of the house. We do throw punches, rights and upper cuts but they NEVER land. He’s not as big as I am; well I am a Ragdoll and have a few pounds on me (15 pounds as of last December). He is smaller since he has shorter legs and body and weighs 14.1 pounds so I’m LARGER and well nicer looking too!
I still am not used to having to co-exist with another feline but I do know I’d miss him terrible if he went away. I go looking for him every morning. He wakes up my Daddy so he has to stay in his own room every night. I do sleep at times on the bed but never wake anyone up. A girl needs her beauty sleep (and naps throughout the day too)!
Now Christmas time is a special time for so many reasons. I LOVE Christmas trees especially the water. Well so Momma now has bought an artificial tree so I won’t drink and play in the sappy water. I also love the green ornament hangers so no hangers on the bottom rows of the tree, only ones she has deemed safe for me. There is this one steel pot and pot that I love to make clang! I do love to make noise. Another Christmas favorite Is Christmas present bows, I will lick and lick them til my tongue turns colors. So now no bows on the presents. Well I’m saving money for my Momma that’s the way I see it.
Both Bootie and I enjoy our cardboard sofas that Momma has gotten us. She got them on recommendation of Jenny. She has some great evaluations on YouTube. Momma watches every one of them. She especially likes the food ones as I am a very picky eater. There is only one wet food that I will eat. My Vet wants me on wet food only since she says I could stand to lose a few pounds. I keep telling her I have big bones! She never measures how long I am just how much I weigh. I’ve been steady at 15 pounds one ounce for over 4 years – I never gain another ounce. The Vet says to exercise more doesn’t she know I have to remain aloof to retain my Diva status? The things I do to remain aloof and cool!
SO I wanted to check in with all of you to let everyone know the life of Tessa is going well. DIvaness lives here at my house though threatened by the boyness of my newly adopted brother Bootie. May Ragdolls always rule!

What a beautiful story about a beautiful Diva named Tessa! Lurved the pictures and all the updated information about her new brother and mischief making during the holidays! What a gorgeous charming girl she is….
My Pink Sugar girl says “Rock on with your Diva-ness, sister!” AND “That vet must be a stick-insect (to quote Bridget Jones) person. Your figure is perfect for a Ragdoll girl!”
Big hugs & Raggy love!
Patti & Pink Sugar 🙂 <3
Tessa’s eyes look turquoise, so pretty!
You sure are very clever writer Tessa. I loved your story! You are really beautiful too! Bootie is cute but not nearly as pretty as you!
Raggies rule!
You GO, girl! Glad to hear your life has not been upset a bit by the addition of a brother, and maybe, even enhanced a bit? Someone so beautiful should have a perfect life, for sure, and it sounds like you do. Thanks for sharing your story and pictures!
