My story starts on April 16, 2016, my seal point Himalayan, Tabitha , turned 20 years old that day. Tabitha had been with me since she was 13 weeks old.
I have never owned a cat but I am a lover of all things cute and fuzzy. I decided that a cat would be best for my lifestyle.
This is my five year old Ragdoll cat, Armando. At the time, my son moved out and I was looking to get a cat. And I saw this show on Animal Planet…
Three Months after bringing Shadow home our ragdoll Tigga passed away suddenly at the age of 4. Shadow was devastated So rang Shadow’s breeder to see if she had another baby available.
As a rising fourth year veterinary student, I was missing my dog from back home and desperately wanting the company of a pet (plus, it’s kind of expected that if you are a veterinary student, you have at least one fur baby in your household!). I knew with clinics starting soon, I would not be able to care for a dog.
Kiwimagic phantom unmasked aka Shadow is a seal mitted with a blaze he was born 24-10-2013. When I went to the breeder to choose a baby Shadow chose me.
Milo was born to a breeder in Southern Indiana who was new to breeding cats (although she was a long time breeder of pure-bred dogs). Staying with his mother and father until he was nine weeks old, Milo was more than I could have ever dreamed of.
My obsession with ragdolls started in college. A guy on my study team had 2 ragdolls so his house was always my favorite place to go to study. They were such beautiful and magnificent kitties!
I fell in love with this soft ball of fur back in November of 2009 when we went to pick out a kitten from a Ragdoll breeder here in our home state. I always knew the Ragdoll breed was the one for me with those big blue eyes that melt your heart!
I found not one, but TWO Ragdoll sisters in southern California. Their human mom had passed away at 86, and they were with a wonderful couple who were fostering them, along with many other cats. Their foster parents personally delivered them to our door in the Santa Barbara, California area last May.
