Tessa – Ragdoll of the Week
HI everyone! I started this life in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. My breeder’s name was Lori. Lori is now at Rainbow Bridge. My Momma found Lori on the Internet and they “conversed” for many months before Momma felt real comfortable with the adoption process. She had to sign an agreement with Lori saying I’d never be allowed to be an outside cat. I do at times enjoy walking on my leash and am now learning to ride in my stroller.
I’m a 6 year old Blue Bi-Color. My Momma saw her first Ragdoll at a cat show in her hometown. She saved and saved for me. She did a lot of research too! I got to come to my furever home when I was 16 weeks. I don’t remember much of that time except me loving to hide in the sofa!
I am a regular on the Cat Social site called Catster. If I do say I’m pretty famous there! I’ve made some great friends on Catster (and Dogster!) and we share holiday cards.
I love classical music and will fall right to sleep! I usually sleep with my Momma on her king size bed. I have my own blanket to sleep on.
I’m a pretty big girl at 15 lbs 8 ounces. My Vet thinks I’m a little big but there’s just more of me to love.
I love to place with my electronic mouse game the most! It goes round and round and I jump on it trying to stop it.
I am not like most Ragdolls as I am wary of strangers. And I don’t like to be held. But I do follow my Momma all over the house. Where she goes I go.
I do not like to be brushed or combed. I have had a bath two times in all my years. Of course I would never allow my Momma to bathe me. It took her years to find a cat groomer in our area. The groomer comes to my house and I have my bath in the van! I like the way the groomer brushes me; now Momma uses the slicker brush and things go much better.
I love to eat! I like my Royal Canin hairball formula in the morning- exactly ¼ cup! I have 2 teaspoons of Wellness Healthy Indulgence Turkey and Duck (only one I will touch!)each am and pm. For my snakc at night I LOVE the Duck formula of Blue Buffalo Wilderness dry food.
Now I’m so tired from dictating this to my typist so I’m laying down for a nap!
Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
Tessa is one of the most beautiful kitties I know. Loves XO
My goodness Tessa dear, you are famous – not to mention absolutely beautiful! I have sadly lost touch with the Internet world due to many things going on around here. But soon as I saw your note, I had to click in and say hello! 🙂 It is so great to see you and be able to wish you all the very best – “You go girl Keep strutting your stuff!” I am so happy for you and think it is wonderful! And, I like many others here would like to request your autograph… 🙂 Please tell your Momma, I send my very best, and let her know I am back (at least for a short bit). Have a blessed day and congrats.!
Hi guys- thanks for checking out Floppycats and Tessa’s write up. For those interested in harness walking here’s the site I used –

Congrats Tessa! May I have your pawtograph?
Hope to hear fro you.
What a beautiful girl you are, Tessa. That is not news to us as we’ve been friends for a long time on MySpace, Facebook and plain old email too. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame–you deserve it.
Denise…Tessa is truly royalty..she is beautiful!! I’m afraid my whole gang is headed the other way. Zippity DD Byrd says no way am I messing with that puddy kat!! Tessa you are a famous girl now…everyone will be wanting your paw print!!
oakley and gang Chi hugs from Emee and Newt
Tessa – you are a beauty! My Andy Boy only like to be held if I sling him over my shoulder and let his front paws fully lay over – the better to s-t-r-e-t-c-h-! And that is a particularly nice harness you are wearing. Would you mind sharing its brand with your fan club? Andy’s vet suggested losing a few lbs too – but I think he is perfect (now that the bloat of dry food is gone). Hugs & pets to you!
Hi Tessa,
You look gorgeous in your purple vest. Know your mom is very proud of you!!!
Whoo hoo! Concatulations my shweet furiend! You da’ femfur! A Princess and a beauty inshide and out! Have a Mewovalous time ash Ragdoll Kitty of the Week!

Hello Tessa! My, but you’re an exquisite girl!! (I can’t help but agree with you, too; Ragdolls are supposed to be a bit heavier, because they’re big-boned by nature. Plus, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a little more delightfully-soft Ragdoll to hug on. ;))
I’m interested in hearing how you’re taking to your leash and your stroller walks… and also, how your mommy gets you to eat the wet food after it’s been in the fridge!
(By the way, sweetie, you’re FaceBook friends with my Boomie. 🙂 )
Such regal cuteness 🙂 Thank you for sharing Tessa’s pictures and letting her dictate her autobiography for us!
OMC Tessa Girl, you are famous!! Now i know all your secrets lol. Congratulations and lots of kisses from your buddy Tony
We are big fans of Tessa on Catster and Dogster. She is a true princess in our eyes! Concatulations Tessa on being Ragdoll of the week.

Lovely, where did Tessa get her harness, what brand is it? I have one Cat who I think
would love to walk.
Hi Pam-
http://www.hdw-inc.com/walkingjackets.htm
this is the harness I use with Tessa.
Tessa is lovely! Neither of my Ragdolls like to be held, and only one of mine greets strangers, so she’s not so unusual after all. The least social one of mine is more attached to me and follows me everywhere too. You’re lucky she sleeps with you, mine don’t!! They’re all so different!
