Milo – Ragdoll of the Week
Milo – Ragdoll of the Week
Milo is the baby of our family of 3 Ragdolls and lives with us in Durham City, England. Our other two Ragdolls are Cosmo who is 5 and is a blue colourpoint and Casper who is 4 and is a seal tabby bi colour. Milo will be 3 years old this month and he is a flame point mitted. We got Milo as a kitten from a GCCF registered breeder in County Durham. At first he was a nervous kitten but he was quickly accepted in to the family by Cosmo and Casper. He has a lovely chilled out attitude compared to our other two Ragdolls, his favorite pastime is sleeping! If you are ever looking for him 90% of the time he will be found chilling on the sofa. Even when in a deep sleep he will wake instantly if he can smell anything sweet coming from the kitchen. His favorite is cheesecake and we do occasionally give in and give him a tiny portion. He also has a neat trick of using his paw to snatch food from our plates and his brothers food bowls so you have to keep a close eye on him at all time.
He is a lot smaller than our other 2 Ragdolls so he gets the nickname Mini, which he responds to more than Milo although we have been tempted to change his name to cheesecake!
He loves to snuggle in to us and his brothers whenever possible, he is also a bit of a sun worshipper and will track down a lovely sunny spot in the house and snooze there until it’s time for something to eat.
Talking of the sun in the summer he loves to spend time in our enclosed garden relaxing or chasing butterflies and bees.
Unfortunately the latter may have been the cause of a sudden rush to the vets when he was a few months old.
He came in from the garden very withdrawn and saliva dripping from his mouth. We immediately rushed him to the vets which is luckily only about 1 mile away so he was seen really quickly. He was already recovering by the time we got the vets and they diagnosed it as an allergic reaction to something.
Luckily it hasn’t happened again, but we do wonder if his fascination for chasing bees may have resulted in him getting stung in the mouth? If it was a bee he doesn’t seem to have learnt his lesson as he still chases them to this day!
His favorite toy is his play tunnel and loves hiding in there and pouncing at Casper and Cosmo as they pass by.
When we decided we wanted to get our first kitten Cosmo we looked in to which breed would be best for us and took an on line test which came up with the Ragdoll cat.
We both remembered the Ragdoll breed from a UK TV children’s programme called Blue Peter where they had Ragdolls cats as one of the programme pets, so I suppose our fascination started there.
We love Ragdolls and each of ours has it own unique loving character. Milo chilled, Casper in your face and Cosmo attention seeker. All 3 have one thing in common, shedding hair and I’m sure a lot of other Raggie owners have never worn black again since adopting their Ragdoll. My vacuum cleaner never gets a moment rest, but I wouldn’t be without my Ragdolls.

Oh, your Milo is exquisite! And so are his siblings. Milo, stay away from those pesky bees! Or you will have a big lip and have to go to the vet again. Enjoy your lovely critters.
Thanks for your comment, we will have to teach him just to focus on the butterflies and avoid the bees.
Thank you for reading his story
Milo/Mini, Casper and Cosmo are all gorgeous! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing Milo’s (Mini’s) love story with us!!! He is absolutely STUNNING. Lurve those flame ragdolls so much!! And, Casper and Cosmo are just as GORGEOUS!!! You and your family are so very lucky to have these Three Amigos in your home! Milo certainly has a great purrsonality and is so quirky with his lurve of cheesecake and trying to pilfer food off plates and out of his brothers’ bowls. lol What a character!!
Wishing all of you many years of good health, happiness and love together!!!
Big hugs!
Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3
