Cat Attract Cat Litter: How It Works for Us
Recently I went to the store to buy another bag of Precious Cat Ultra, the litter I use in all 6 of our litter boxes. Unfortunately, they were out of the Ultra – so I opted for the Cat Attract instead. Cat Attract is made by the same company – Dr. Elsey’s – and has the same litter as the Ultra but a few herbal additives to attract the kitties to use it.
I had only gone to the store to get a bag to refill the two NVR Miss litterboxes in my master bath – and the Litter Robot Open Air – the 3 NVR Misses in the basement were plenty full.
It’s been some time since I have had Cat Attract in the house – and I just have to say – it works. Man, it works. Both cats have exclusively been using the Master bathroom litterboxes and the Litter Robot. They usually use all litterboxes somewhat the same amount – but not right now…and I am now needing to get another bag of litter!
Well, I should say it’s Chiggy who has been the one using the Litter Robot Open Air the most – I am convinced he uses it just to have it rotate afterwards – he is still VERY fascinated by it cycling and will come sprinting to watch it rotate. Of course, that’s when Charlie uses it – if Trigg uses it, he sits and waits for it to cycle – which is 15 minutes after he is done with his business!
We reviewed Cat Attract years ago (I posted our review video below – taken when the cats were just 2 years old) – a friend told me about it – it has a guarantee to get your kitty to use the litterbox. It’s a great first step when your kitty is not using the litter box.
You can buy Cat Attract online on Amazon or you can buy it in most major pet stores. Some of our local pet stores here in Kansas City also carry it.

I haven't tried this product as Miss PSB has no issues using her litterbox. I will say that I am a HUGE FAN of the Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Litter product (the blue bag schtuff)! Best litter I've ever used!

I’ve used Kitten Attract by De. Elsy that comes in the pink, 8 lb. boxes, Jenny, ever since one kitten didn’t seem to like the litter unexpectedly. Never another issue after that, nor after adding a second cat. Now, they’re both over a year, and I’m still using it in the two NVR-Miss boxes I keep in my master baths.
As the very fine grit isn’t hard to walk on, passing by when they are able to get litter everywhere still, once in a while, I’m grateful!!! I’d never go back to regularly-grit size ever again. Kitten Attract is wonderful, clumps great, and they both love digging in it. My feet and floor are happy, too!

yes it does work!! one of my cats didn’t want to use the litter box when we moved to a new place and i had one choice on where to put the litter box. i got some of this litter and a container of stuff that you just sprinkle on top of whatever litter you have (also called “cat attract” from the Dr) and that worked great as well. it’s magic!!
