Mystra – Ragdoll Kitten of the Month
Mystra – Ragdoll Kitten of the Month
While researching about the different breeds, I’ve read Ragdolls are usually sweet, playful, but not hyper active crazy-ninja like. They are usually recommended for a first cat. The temperament and those gorgeous blue eyes closed the deal for me.
Then I started contacting Ragdoll breeders, looking for a female and was very lucky to find a place about 2 hours away from our home: Furreal Ragdolls. The owner was extremely kind and helpful and I’d definitely recommend adopting a Ragdoll from Furreal. They had a female seal mitted and she was the cutest thing in the picture. I wanted to hug her. We visited her once and brought her home in a second visit some time later.
We named her Mystra and she quickly got used to the house. Her absolutely favorite toy is a little mouse in a fishing pole. Doesn’t matter when or what she’s doing, if you show the mouse she will hunt the mouse.
She also seems to use the mouse to communicate, she drags It to a food bow for example, maybe saying “thanks” for the food or maybe saying she wants more food. She’s very possessive with the mouse, likes to walk around the house holding It in her mouth and making a deep sound, like saying “mine, my mouse, won’t let go”.

Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
What a pretty little darling Mystra is! Queen of your house, queen of your heart… and clearly a budding superstar!!! Thanks for sharing her beautiful pictures and your story with us! 🙂
Mystra is absolutely GORGEOUS, ADORABLE, and EVERYTHING you could possibly want in a sweet Ragdoll. She seems like the poster-girl for Ragdolls with all their wonderful traits. Love that she hunts and fetches for you. Our Maine Coon and one Ragdoll here do that and it is so endearing when they bring that prize and lay it at your feet! Best wishes to you and your sweet girl for a long and happy life together.♥♥♥♥
Thank you so much for the kind comments. Glad you liked the photos and story.
That first photo was the one we saw when selected her, yes, we feel in love for her then. 🙂 It’s really a blessing to have Mystra in our life. Agree with Patti, life is never the same once you get a Ragdoll! ^^

Wow- what an adorable kitten. If that baby picture is the one you saw when you selected her, I can see why! Mystra’s personality sounds like it matches her cuteness, too. You’re so smart to start the grooming stuff early- will make things much easier in the future! Thanks so much for sharing Mystra’s story and pictures – best thing I read all day!
