Marchioro Clipper Cayman Pet Carrier Review
My mom has had two Marchioro Clipper Cayman Pet Carriers for 8 years. I love them.
You guys have probably seen them in our videos and in the photos of Caymus and Murphy at the vet. The Marchioro Clipper Cayman Pet Carrier is a hard plastic cat carrier that only has an entrance from the front – but the carrier can be taken apart easily to access the kitty at the vet.
My mom hauls Caymus and Murphy to their lake house a few times a year and it’s a 3-hour drive, so it is important to my mom that Caymus and Murphy can move around easily in the carrier, so that they can remain comfortable. You can see from the review video that we did below – they definitely have plenty of room in which they can move around.
I love the easy clips on the sides -I have a few carriers that KILL my finger tips to get them apart at the vet’s office!
My mom has:
- Cayman 3 Pet Carrier (This is Caymus’ carrier – he’s 17-18 lbs. Carrier measures 25 x 17 x 17 inches ; 3 pounds)
- Cayman 2 Pet Carrier (This is Murphy’s carrier – he’s 11-12 lbs. Carrier measures 22.2 x 14 x 14.2 inches ; 3 pounds )
- Cayman 3 Pet Carrier (This is Caymus’ carrier – he’s 17-18 lbs. Carrier measures 25 x 17 x 17 inches ; 3 pounds)

Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
Purchased Marchioro carrier based on your recommendation. Hate the product because assembly instructions are terrible and there is no help on the web. Did you really assemble this or was it assembled for you?
I do not know – don’t recall as my mom purchased them. However, I just purchased two and they should be arriving soon. I will do a video on how to assemble if I can. But what are you having trouble with specifically? Just putting the top to the bottom piece?
Hey Nick,
I just made an assembly video – hope it helps you out!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Jenny
Thank you so much. Assembled and ready to go 1 week early. I found the instructions confusing and hard to read (with magnifying glass) as early as step 1. Very easy to follow on your video. Your website is fabulous!!
cool. pleased to hear it! thanks!
So if I am getting a male kitten should I get the #3 size or is that just too big initially???? Thanks.
I’m really glad to see these on Floppycats, and I am actually silly for saying Phineas has the same as Caymus, in fact he has the same sized one, but with “window” on the top part, see here ;

(harmless link to a Hungarian site where I have bought it from, could not find it on any English site, I mean the exact same one)
Also one more thing I really like is that these carriers are approved by the IATA (International Air Transport Association), so in case you have to fly with your kitty, you can do that with such a carrier!
Ah ha – we call that a “double door” carrier. Good to know that they are approved by the IATA!
Jenny, thanks so much for doing the review – I had placed the order for a #2 after your suggestion over the weekend. I’m even happier now that I’ve seen the video – had no idea that taking them apart was so easy. Great choice.
Awesome – so pleased to hear that. Let me know what you think of the carrier when you have it your hands!
