This is our second Necoichi product we have reviewed – and again, we are impressed.
On September 28, 2017, a reader wrote me and asked, “Have you ever reviewed products from this company? https://www.necoichi.com
My 9-year-old Ragdoll likes their raised water bowls as one of her water options. (She also loves our large PawNosh bowl which I keep on the sink island countertop in my kitchen.) She prefers eating kibble from a shallow oval bowl, though, because it leaves more room for her broad face and whiskers. I suggested to the company that they consider making a raised oval bowl. She clearly likes the extra elevation of the bowls.
We are also thinking about trying some of their other products. Their designs are very pretty to look at and the quality of the bowls and shipping boxes is very nice.”
I take any reader inquiry seriously, so I went directly to Necoichi’s website to check out their products and fell in love with their Necoichi Cat Scratcher Bed Bowl – which we reviewed a few weeks ago and which continues to be THE PLACE TO BE in our house – my cats adore it. I knew they would, so that’s why I was excited to receive it. When we posted the arrival video of the Necoichi Cat Scratcher Bed, Necoichi reached out to us and asked me if I would be interested in reviewing their Necoichi Raised Cat Water and Food Bowls with Dining Tray…and we were!
The Necoichi Raised Cat Food Bowl, Water Bowl and Dining Tray are all sold separately – but they also work as a set. All of them are made out of a durable and non-absorbent porcelain – made to FDA/EC&ECC European standards. They are lead and cadmium free. These bowls are a great height for cats.
Both bowls have an inner lip that helps with no spills – I show a close-up of that in our final review video below. The bowls are also designed to have food fall into the center of the bowl. The water bowl has lines for measuring portions. The bowls and the dining tray are microwave and dishwasher safe.

Fun Different Designs Bowl Options
I noticed when I did a search online that Necoichi comes out with different designs on their bowls like this cute Jelly Bean and Cupcake one on Amazon – too fun! We just received their “cat” ones.
Overall, I really like these bowls – and this company, Necoichi. “Neco” and “ichi” means “Cat First” in Japanese – they seem to really care about cats first – rather than just reducing the size of a dog product. They are thinking about the cat and how the cat eats, etc. If you were to get this set of the Necoichi Raised Cat Food Bowl and Water Bowl with Dining Tray, I think it would be a subjective decision. In my home, I don’t think I would end up using the dining tray – so I wouldn’t get it. But I do like the bowls – the water bowl can easily be used for wet food and so could the food bowl. I liked to use the food bowl to give Charlie the 2 tablespoons of dry food he is currently receiving right now (much to my dismay). I also like the food bowl to give Charlie his probiotics – you can see that in the final review video below.
Speaking of subjective – these bowls aren’t going to be wide enough for those kitties that suffer from whisker fatigue – but they worked out great for my two, who do not suffer from that.
When these bowls arrived for review, many readers commented that they already had them and loved them

Necoichi Food and Water Bowls and Dining Tray Arrival Unboxing Video
We received the Necoichi Raised Cat Food Bowl and Water Bowl with Dining Tray for review from the manufacturer and also asked that they pay a small review fee. Receiving the free product and the review fee did not influence this honest post.
Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
YAY! Just received our Necoichi Extra Tall Raised Cat Water Bowl from Walmart.com! Very happy with it. It’s SUPER PAWESOME! Quick question, though… Wonder why this water bowl didn’t come with the fabulous silicon non-slip ring for the bottom of the bowl like the food bowl did? Just curious. Hmmmmmm. I posted this same info on the Necoichi FB page so maybe they have an answer to my question. 🙂 <3
NOTE: We tried many times to order it from Amazon.com but after cancelling and resubmitting the order many times over a 7 day period it just could never get processed for shipment due to their current prioritization process for shipments due to the COVID-19 issue. So, we found it on Walmart.com for the same price on May 9th and got it this afternoon. #AmazonHasAVeryFrustratingFulfillmentProcessRightNow 🙁
Absolutely wonderful product review video, pics and post, Jenny! Really impressed with this company from the two product reviews you have done so far for the sleep scratcher thingy (WANT!) and this cute bowl set! Lurve how adorable Chiggy & Charlie were nomming on their dry cat food cheatzaneestahz! 🙂 <3
They other designs are so freakin' adorable, too! Lurve that jellybean design…so cute! Wonder if the jellybean and cupcake designs would distract the kitty or make them try to tap it or dig for it? Not sure…probably not. This company really lurves kitties and probably took all that into consideration with their design and product testing. 🙂 <3
Lurve the FB pic you posted, too. That beautiful kitty looks so proud in that pic! 🙂 <3
Not yet…I had to cancel the order today (I think it was hung in the Amazon system as I submitted it on May 3rd and as of today, May 8th, it STILL hadn’t begun to prepare for shipment and trying to get ahold of Amazon customer service right now is impossible via phone or their online chat) and resubmit it. It’s preparing for shipment right meow. YAY! I know we are going to LURVE it, though, as the food bowl we got is a HUGE HIT with Miss PSB! 🙂 <3
Those are just adorable ( including Chiggy and Charlie)! Wonderful video Jenny. Love all the thought they put into it and really believe their motto about “cats first.” Might get this for Illaria because I think she would enjoy the fact that it is raised. Hope the company reads this because it would be nice if they could make a lower, wider bowl for kitties like Grace with whisker fatigue. Nice that the dishes are all lead and cadmium free. Very nice and on the list! thanks so much!♥♥♥
dang those are freakin adorable. i love the designs. Charlie was so stinkin cute tapping that little crown with his paw. i like the thought of a more elevated bowl too. it makes sense that it would be easier for them.
I agree! Double geesh! 🙂 <3

No idea – neither one of the ones I reviewed chad the silicon non-slip ring. Glad you were able to get it somewhere else!
I think maybe the non-slip attachable silicone ring for the bottom of the food dish may be available only on the wide raised food bowl. 😉 <3

thanks for letting me ask you about these before i did the review =). do you think a wider dish for whisker fatigue would need to be lower?
It was my pleasure Jenny. Yes, having it wider and maybe a little lower would be great. ♥️

i know – i think he was trying to play with the water i had spilled.
