Vital Essentials VitalCat Cat Treats Product Review
We participate in the Chewy.com Influencer program – which is a program in which, cat bloggers like me, can choose a few products a month to review – that are on a list that they send out. As a cat blogger (compared to a dog blogger, for example), I usually have about 4 different things to choose from. In November, the Vital Essentials VitalCat Treats were one of their options. I choose to order the Rabbit and Minnows – but the VitalCat Treats also come in Chicken, Duck Liver, Chicken Hearts, Chicken Giblets, Salmon and Tuna.
We were sent the Vital Essentials Rabbit Bites Freeze-Dried Cat Treats, 0.9-oz bag and the Vital Essentials Minnows Freeze-Dried Cat Treats, 0.5-oz bag.
When it comes to reviewing cat food or treats – all I can offer is:
1. If my cats ate the treats (i.e., if they were platable) – YES
2. If I like the ingredients – YES
3. If they gave my cats diarrhea – NOPE
In other words, I am not a nutritionist – so my review does not include that.
Out of the bag, my cats wanted to eat both treats – but weren’t quite sure what to do with the minnows. They continued to eat the rabbit – and if you caught our review of the Kittyo pet camera, then you saw how the rabbit treats fit perfectly into the Kittyo treat dispenser – so that came in handy.
The Rabbit treats, especially, would be great for training because they don’t flake and break. You can also easily throw these treats into a cat puzzle toy to keep your kitty busy while you’re at work (and you will see that I did throw them in the Cat Amazing Puzzle Toy in both review videos below).
Overall, I like these treats very much and will more than likely re-order them again.

Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
SUPER PAWESOME Final Product Review Post, Video & Pics, Jenny!!! These certainly seem like some really amazing treat products and I’m definitely going to try a bag of them but will probably opt for the one made from chicken (since Miss PSB lurves ALL things chickie-based). Since she has never had any rabbit or minnows (has never responded favorably to seafood kitty food either…just not interested in it) I would worry that perhaps the richness of the rabbit may cause her some diarrhea. Otherwise, I would go for the rabbit for her to try. 🙂 <3
Lovely videos of your boys chowing down on their cheatzes! The Hoover Twins!!! Chiggy really inhales those rabbit bites!! 🙂 <3
Big hugs & lots of love!
Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3
Please let me know how the chicken goes!!
Will do!!! 🙂 <3
Great video Jenny! Yes, Yes, Yes! Am ordering these right now! Always looking for some nutritious treats and going to add them to their rotation of Whole Life treats. My kitties love rabbit, but not sure about the minnows. For me personally, I would only give the minnows when I was home watching in case of them choking because they looked kinda long or would simply cut them into smaller bites.
Think Santa has these and the puzzle box on his sled! Thanks so much!
