Ragdoll Cats and Airplane!
Maybe the title of this post should be “How to Torture Your Cat” – ok, maybe not – but I sure have received some comments on YouTube about people not liking me play airplane with my cats – but I have done it for so long that it’s not a thing. Caymus is the best at it. Check out the videos below and let me know if you play airplane with your kitty!

Love, love, love seeing you lovingly interact with your sweet boys. They obviously love it and it is so wonderful to see how much they love and trust you. Love dressing my girls up in clothes and glasses and they apparently love it too or they would leave and get upset. Funny that when the glasses go on Illaria, she begins to purr! Think they all love that airplane game you play with them so much. Wish I could do it with my girls and just might give it a try one day with Illaria to see what she does, or maybe Gracie since she is more malleable? Is it better to have a brick or a bag of sand? Ha, Ha!
Jenny, this is The Cutest Thing Ever! It’s so obvious how much these kitties lurve and trust you! We have never tried this with Pink Sugar and it may be too late to start now that she’s approaching her 2nd birthday. Wouldn’t want to traumatize her!

Every summer we have a great influx of moths and a few succeed in getting inside our home. Kitties are SO fascinated with them; they leap, scramble and knock stuff down. As my husband says, “A moth in the house can be dangerous…” 🙂
I don’t airplane with my Ragdoll Lucy, but I did with a former kitty I had, a non-Ragdoll named Arthur, aka “Arthur the Boneless Cat.” He adored it. I even made airplane noises and the sounds of bombs exploding while dive-bombing him. He was in heaven!
Lucy prefers to be held close, like a baby, and carried around. But if she spots the rare spider or bug on the ceiling I do stand on a chair and hold her up so she can inspect it at close range. 😛
Makes sense – Luz went through hell before she got to you. That’s so sweet about standing on a chair so she can inspect it – I do that for my Charlie man when he wants to smell the rafters in the basement. Go figure.

Haha I thought this was going to be about Ragdoll cats on airplanes and how well they travel! It is always interesting to see what some will interpret as being wrong, I thought you playing airplane with your kitties was totally adorable and they seem to be fine with it too!

ha – who comes up with this stuff? – that’d be me at around 11 years old. i did it to my cat, Rags that passed two years ago. so it starts from kitten status. are you thinking of trying it with your kitties?

You can tell they are enjoying themselves. They aren’t struggling or being upset. Keep having fun, kids.
I don’t see that the cats are upset about this airplane. They are calm, no claws out, not struggling to get down. If they didn’t like it you would know. Not torture for them, now my two which don’t even like to be held would be another story……
