Brynn – Ragdoll of the Week

Brynn, also called Bunny, is a gorgeous Blue Cream Tortie Point Ragdoll, who came into Merlin’s Hope Cat Rescue about 1 month ago with her best friend Hallow (aka Little bit). Their owner has become ill and is sadly unable to care for them.  Fortunately for Brynn and Hallow, their owner cared enough to make sure they went to a rescue where they will be safe.  I met Brynn and Hallow for the first time when their owner met us in Temple. I was immediately impressed with Hallow, who came straight out of her carrier with her lovely well-groomed self and told us how special she was. Brynn hid in the back of the carrier all the way home, making only tiny mewing sounds every once in a while, breaking our hearts.

We brought Brynn and Hallow straight home and put them in my sister’s room for a few days for them to settle in, but Hallow immediately insisted on coming out and seeing her new digs. Brynn is a bit shyer, but she loves to peek around the corner and bat her gorgeous blue eyes at me. Now that she is comfortable here, she is the friendlier of the girls.  Last night, she jumped up into the bed with me and insisted on sleeping with me. She is infatuated with the feather wand but isn’t sure whether she wants to play with it or run away. Hallow likes to spend time posing in front of the fireplace, looking gorgeous. Hallow has not decided whether she really likes us yet or not, but she isn’t above coming for treats. She prefers Halo’s Freeze-Dried Chicken Breast treats.

Brynn is only 1 ½ years old. We didn’t receive her breeder papers with her so we were unable to contact the breeder, but we will find her the perfect home along with her pal, Hallow, who is about 2 ½ years old. These special girls would prefer a quieter home. We really want a special, forever home for them, since they have already lost their home once, and, of course, we only adopt in the Texas area, since transporting during the summer is very dangerous for cats.

Hallow and Brynn are both spayed, front paw declawed, FIV/FeLV tested, and vaccinated. They are ready to go home now. You can see more information on them at www.merlinshope.petfinder.com and/or can contact us at melindahug65 [at] wildblue.net. The adoption donation for the girls is $300.
