The Dr. Catsby’s Whisker Relief Stainless Steel Cat Bowl is a shallow, stainless steel cat bowl for cats with whisker fatigue. It is all one piece of metal with a thumb or finger cutout on one side of the bottom of the dish, so it can be easily picked up from the floor. I do think this would be easier to pick up if they had two cutouts on the dish rather than just one, but having the one is definitely helpful. There is also a silicone non-slip mat that goes underneath the dish to keep it in one spot, although I have not needed to use that piece as it stays in place pretty well on my floors and my cats don’t really push it around. It measures 7.2 x 7+3.2 x 1.2 inches and weighs 14.1 ounces and it can hold a 5-ounce can of cat food, although a 3-ounce can would probably fit better and not be quite so full. This would also work well as a dry food cat dish. This whisker friendly cat bowl is also dishwasher safe, which is great, but it is VERY hot when coming right out of the washer, so be aware of that! My cats do not have whisker fatigue that I have ever noticed, but we still like the dish (I love metal dishes) so it is a good choice even for cats that don’t necessarily need a wide or shallow bowl.
