I cannot remember how I discovered Zuke’s Premium Treats in Colorado.  But it seems that I keep finding more and more great products coming out of Colorado these days.

Nonetheless, I contacted them and asked them if they would be willing to send some of their goodies for Charlie and Trigg to test out, and they did.  You might have read about our receipt of their goodies on our blog

We first decided to try out their Z-Filets which are marketed towards dogs, but are fine for cats to eat as well!

And you guessed it, Charlie and Trigg both liked the Z-Filets – these were of the Chicken Strip variety.

Here’s why Z-Filets are great:

  • They’re a high protein snack
  • It’s protein from pure meat
  • They’re easy to break into smaller pieces – so if you have cats and dogs – you can get one bag for both!
  • Made in the USA
  • They’re wheat and corn free
  • There are no fillers
  • There are no additives

Here’s a video I captured of Charlie and Trigg trying out these treats:

Thank you to Zuke’s for sending us these treats to try out!  Has your kitty tried Zuke’s Premium Treats?  How did s/he like them?

Charlie did like them too. Sometimes cats are weird towards something new – and then they like it forever. I’ve heard, for example, if you serve a flavor of food too hot – like if you warm it up in the microwave and it has a hot spot – you serve it to your cat and they get burned, they will forever associate that flavor with hurt and will never like it.

Yes, Trigg is the pro at the mini paw attack.

I don’t recall how many treats come in a bag. Zuke’s will be able to answer that!

That is most likely true about the hot food. It is known as conditioning or classical conditioning according to psychology. Humans act that way too but we are a bit more complex due to the way our minds work from what we know at least. I’ll be sure to check out Zuke’s website ^^

These look like some good treats! Do the bags happen to have a certain amount of fillets per bag? Charlie did not seem so into it during the video but Trigg sure liked them! It’s cute whenever cats do that mini paw attack toward foreign objects, or at least I think it is amusing and cute 🙂
