We all know how horrible litter box odor smell can be – especially if your kitty isn’t on a raw food diet!  While I would never suggest a fan being a solution to daily scooping of the litter box, I am OK with suggesting something that provides odor control.  More times than not, Charlie and Trigg go #2 while I am writing for Floppycats and I think I am going to pass out.  Even if I do scoop it right away, the odor lingers.  So, I do understand the need for  litter box odor control.

Purr-ifier is a little fan that sticks on top of a covered litter box and sucks out the odors and bacteria in cat feces and urine.  It is super easy to set up – to install the Purr-ifier litter box odor control filtration system, just peel and stick the Purr-ifier to an existing covered litter box and then plug it into a standard wall socket.

How or why does the Purrifier work?  The reason is provides effective odor control for cat litter boxes is because it has a fan and a filter in one.  The fan pulls in the cat urine and feces smells to the Purrifier multi-layer filter that then uses natural carbon-based materials fused with state-of-the-art odor neutralizers to push fresh smelling air back into your home.

The good news is that this product will not break your budget – the starter kit is less than $30 and if you don’t like it, they have a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee.

Great product for those kitteh lovers with covered litter boxes (which I used to use all the time before we got our Miss Pink Sugarbelle girl).

Since we got our adorable Ragdoll Girl, we’ve used only open boxes and with the kitty litter I use (Dr. Elsey’s Precious Clumping Schtuff) and with the frequency I scoop (two to three times a day) the odor control is great. My hubby is very sensitive to those smells and hasn’t complained once about Litterbox Odor. 🙂

Thanks for the wonderful info, Jenny!

    Big hugs!

      Hi Patti,

Yes, I am not a fan of a covered litterbox – but I do know that it can work for many kitties. Rags had one for years without a problem…but since I am not a fan of going the bathroom in a portapotty where I can smell everyone’s business, I am not a fan of a covered litterbox.

However, I do wonder if this fan helps to alleviate some of the smell the kitties experience too!
