Tallulah – Ragdoll Kitten of the Month
Tallulah – Ragdoll Kitten of the Month
My boyfriend and I moved to the Czech Republic and he felt that I needed an extra special companion for when I was missing my family. This is how we came to find our fantastic kitten Tallulah. We travelled three and a half hours east from our house in Prague to a wonderful breeder in Olomouc. It was November and the rain was tumbling down as we drove through the Czech forests. I remember driving home, with her asleep on my boyfriend’s lap. We were both so excited to this new addition to our family. We didn’t seem to care, when we were caught in traffic for an extra 2 hours. Arriving home she ran under our bed where she remained for the next few hours, until curiosity got the better of her, that or food.
We decided to name our little fluff ball Tallulah, from Bugsy Malone, as she was full of sass and attitude. Tallulah loves to strut around the house and with her fluffy tail she dances up and down our stairs. My boyfriend works from home and Tallulah keeps a watchful eye on him all day to make sure he is working hard. Occasionally climbing up the back of his chair if she thinks that he is not working hard enough or she feels it’s time for a small cuddle.
Tallulah has two great loves, water and feathers. She loves to splash you when you are in the bath and forget about having a shower in peace. She stands in the corner kicking her feet in the puddles. She also seems to enjoy leaving little wet footprints all over our house. Her second passion is feathers. She chases and catches them all day and night. She doesn’t care if they are part of her toy or not!
Tallulah races to meet me every day when I finish work, as she knows this is time for her dinner. She loves to be cuddled and stroked, occasionally having a little nibble of your hand if you’re not quick! Ragdolls have the most amazing temperament and she never seems to get fed up of human love and affection.
Tallulah sleeps splits her night in two places, half the night sleeping on the bedside cabinet. Sometimes in my boyfriend’s jeans if she is feeling inquisitive and the other half cuddled up next to me. She stretches out and has her tummy tickled all night long.
We feed Tallulah Royal Canin kitten, however, she has a tinned meat once a day, which is her favourite time of day. She also enjoys boiled chicken and white fish, which she has as a treat.
Before getting Tallulah we had not really heard of the Ragdoll cat breed and it was only whilst doing research that we found out what a fantastic breed they are. She is loyal and loving and is always ready to give you a hug or a nod. Her joyful and cheery personality would make me recommend this wonderful breed to everyone.

What a darling! 🙂 Just like ABarletta, I thought of the old-time American actress immediately. People of all ages love Ragdolls and rightly so! Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures of and cute story about your new baby!
Tallulah is gorgeous! Thought maybe you named her after the actress Tallulah Bankhead. But then I am dating myself! What a pretty little girl. Love to hear she likes water and feathers. A real “girly girl”. Enjoy your sweet baby girl. She is worth all the time and effort it took to get her. What’s a long drive and a little traffic when you have such a sweet baby!! Please give her a kiss and pet from Auntie A.!
