If you would like to submit your kitty as the Ragdoll of the Week, please send at least a 500-word story (the story can incorporate the answers to the questions below) as well as 3-8 images of your kitty (appropriate to the story makes it more fun!) to jenny [at] floppycats.com!
My story really begins with Ebi, our 21-year old female cat, who lost her brother and companion 6 years ago July.
Meet Eli and Oscar, two beautiful Ragdolls. They came to live with us on March 17, 2012 and we could not be happier! They previously lived in Suwanee, Georgia with a wonderful family, but due to one of the children’s allergies, they could no longer keep them. They were placed for re-homing on floppycats.com.
The first face I see each morning is that of Akashi no Kimi. There she sits on the bed, at a distance of one or two feet from my head, staring at me as if to demand an apology for my lassitude.
Rini’s full name is Princess Rini Rae. I got the name Rini from a cartoon show that I had loved as a child. The character Rini was a spoiled little princess with a big personality just like my kitty!
As she settled into the household and her personality became more evident, we decided that “Charlotte” is way too formal for her silly, playful nature. She’s a Charlie.
We adopted a beautiful Ragdoll boy from Debbie Le Strange (Guys ‘n Dolls) in December 2008. His name is Pasha, and he turned two last September. He is a Seal Lynx Point.
Kidd is just the sweetest, most laid back Ragdoll you’d ever want to meet. He loves bathing my other kitties.
Moby is a dream cat, a large, fluffy boy who is friendly even to strangers and whose favorite pastimes are grandly surveying his domain from the height of a cat tree, playing chase-and-wrestle with Rivers, being brushed in the early morning, and nestling on my lap with his head on my chest and his fat paws rhythmically kneading my arm.
As you have just read Dante, named after Italian Poet “Dante Alighieri – author of Dante’s Inferno”, is from one of the world’s best breeders of Ragdoll cats, GuysnDolls Ragdoll Cats in Queensland, I will not argue with this claim as Dante has grown, and is still growing into a glorious, wonderful and most beautiful full size Ragdoll Cat.
