Recently, the lovely Kate Benjamin, mastermind behind Moderncat and Moderncat Studio started, CattooDesign.com. I was interested in learning more and wanted to share it with Floppycats’ readers as well. Thanks to Kate for the interview.
Kate Benjamin introduced the Moderncat Studio Wave – a door-hanging cardboard cat scratcher.
If you follow Kate Benjamin’s blog, Moderncat.net, then you more than likely already know about the ModernCat Studio Scratch Tower.
Kate Benjamin is the founder and editor of the popular cat style blog moderncat.net, which she started in 2007. Last year Kate launched Moderncat Studio in order to develop her own line of unique handcrafted cat products. Moderncat Studio products have been available on Etsy since the beginning of this year and new products are being added all the time. Kate is thrilled to be able to make a living focusing on product design for cats. Kate lives with her seven cats, Simba, Mackenzie, Ando, Flora, Dee, McKinley and Theo, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Do you know about Etsy? Etsy is social commercial website that allows sellers to post their handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies – and then buyers can buy it!
Kate Benjamin of Moderncat.net was kind enough to do an interview with me for Floppycats.com. Ever since I started following her site in June of 2009, I have been wanting to ask her questions about her site, which I just love. Kate does it all on Moderncat.net. She designed the logo and all the site graphics. Kate has recently started ModernStudio.com where you can sign-up for the email list to get the latest news. Enjoy the interview and please feel free to ask Kate additional questions in the comment section below the interview.
