Shark APEX DuoClean Zero-M Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Product Review P1010941

Many moons ago, I published an article, “Best Vacuums for Ragdoll Cat Hair According to Ragdoll Cat Owners” in 2014 and then recently updated it in June 2018 with Best Vacuum for Long-Haired Cat Hair: According to Ragdoll Cat Owners.

While collecting data for both of those articles, Floppycatters told me again and again how much they loved their Shark vacuums.

So when a PR company that works with Shark reached out and asked if I would be game to review the Shark APEX DuoClean Zero-M Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, I was in.

Especially this one – it has brand new Zero-M Technology actively removes hair wrap from the brushroll so you don’t have to.  You know what I’m talking about? The hair that gets wrapped around the roller brush?

  1. SUPER PAWESOME & FABULOUS POST, VIDEO & PICS, Jenny! A SHARK!! *drool* LUCKY YOU!!! Ugh. Yes, I have had that hair wrap thingy happening with every single vaccum I have ever owned due to pet hair on the rug! WOW! THAT is a GORGEOUS VACUUM!! WANT!!!! YAY, INDEED! When I am getting a new vacuum my requirements are that it works awesome with pet hair, is easy to clean, has removable washable filters (except for the HEPA filter, of course, and THAT must be replaceable), doesn’t sound like a motorcycle without a muffler when running, and that it looks GREAT! And…a roller brush that doesn’t have to have hair cut off of it would be HEAVEN!!! Charlie was ADORBS, as usual!! Hey, I lift up my vacuum and do that with my furniture, too!! Very impressive with what it grabbed from that small vacuuming session! 🙂 <3

I have a "Bissell CleanView Bagless Upright Vacuum with OnePass Technology, 1330 – Corded" and it works well but I would LURVE to have a Shark or even an Orek! But, the Bissell is the one suitable to my current budget. The link to my vacuum on Amazon is here:

Big hugs & lots of love!

  2. i have a shark rocket pro and i love that thing. i just have carpet upstairs and i had a vacuum for that but i was just using a dirt devil stick vac for my downstairs floors and it’s ok for little jobs but when i really need to vacuum hard core then i need more. my shark does floors and carpets and it’s just great. it has awesome suction and gets all that cat hair up really well. and you are right, it’s our own hair that gets stuck in the brush. my hair is long and it’s all over the place so it does get in there but not as much as my other vacuum. i got a bit distracted because sweet Charlie is just so gorgeous and i just love watching him promote the product. i swear he knows !!

    1. yes, bless charlie. he gets his job in my life =). i vacuumed my house for the 3rd time today with the shark. the benefit of reviewing a vacuum is that my house stays cleaner. i am starting to really appreciate the shark – it can get under things that my oreck cannot. and it has a lot more features that i have yet to use.
