September 2021 Giveaway: FUKUMARU Cat Carrier

Last year, a reader told me about the FUKUMARU Cat Scratcher Cardboard 5 PCS with Box – I went to look it up on Amazon and it was really inexpensive, so I thought I would order it for my two. 

My parent’s cats absolutely loved it.  So I reached out to FUKUMARU to see if they’d do a giveaway for one – and they did, last year! Since then, they have run several giveaways on the site – and here’s another one!

This month, they wanted to do a giveaway for their cat carrier!

 

Whether you’re someone who takes your cat on long vacations, or you just want a comfy carrier to use when it’s time for a visit to the veterinarian, the Fukumaru cat carrier could be ideal.

Size and Capacity:

The cat carrier measures 18.5 x 11.8 x 11.6 inches, enough space for small and mid-sized cats to easily fit in, and big enough for some larger cats too. It’s designed with a maximum weight limit of 16lbs so it might not be suitable for some cats, including larger male Ragdolls, but most cats will be fine and have the room they need to move around.

To help get your cat into the carrier, there are five openings including the front, the back and on top. This also gives great ventilation, so your cat will always be breathing fresh air. The curtain at the front can be strapped up to allow your cat to see its surroundings through the mesh panel, or it can be stuck down to let your cat enjoy a secluded, calming darkness that’s suitable for reducing stress on long journeys.

The carrier also has four storage pouches on the sides, two that can be closed with zippers and two open pockets. It’s therefore easy to bring all your cat’s essential items and toys with you, and keep everything together so nothing gets lost.

Designed to be Comfortable:

Included with the cat carrier is a reversible mat for the base. On one side it has a soft flannel surface and on the other a more textured rattan.

Use the flannel when the weather is cooler or when your cat just wants a softer surface to cuddle into. Flip it to rattan during warmer seasons when you don’t need the extra heat for your kitty. The rattan can also be useful for scratching during stressful trips, although it isn’t designed as a full scratching mat and over time will wear down.

It’s not just about the comfort of the pet but also the owner. The bag itself is lightweight at just 3.6lb, and the padded carry handle makes it easy to lift in and out of your vehicle. It also has a padded shoulder strap that can be adjusted from 29.3 to 53 inches, so you can easily transport your cat from the car to your destination without having your hands tied up.

Because the large top panels can be opened and left out of the way, you can also use this carrier at home if you want to give your cat a safe space to climb in and out of. This can also help to acclimatize them with the carrier, so that it isn’t difficult getting them into it when a veterinarian trip is necessary.
