Sam – Ragdoll of the Week
Well, things could be worse. My owner had to move out of the US, and though she was sad, she couldn’t take us with her, so Kaluha, BaileyGirl, Wrigley, and I came to Merlin’s Hope where foster-meowmy is lavishing her love on us. She is going to tell all of you awesome people about all four of us eventually, but since I am the biggest (and of course the best, but don’t tell the others), I get to go first.
How big am I? Well, you know a woman never tells her weight, but I am a BIG boy, so I don’t mind telling you that I weigh in at a lovely 18 pounds, all muscle (no fat on me) according to our fantastic vet, Dr. Wilson. I am five years old and came from the same cattery as Kaluha and Wrigley, but my mommy couldn’t remember which cattery it was for sure. Ms. MeLinda of Merlin’s Hope Cat Rescue says things like that don’t matter to her. She says that what matters is that I am AWESOME. I love to spread out on the super-sized ottoman in the window of the reading room, so I can catch some rays; then, I might wander over to the kitchen for a bite now and then. You know, a boy my size has to keep exercising to keep those six-pack abs. When foster-meowmy returns home from work, I like to give her a small chirp of welcome. I am way too cool to go running to her like the others do. I mean, really, what are we, dogs?
Then, it is supper-time. Thank goodness, because I am starving! Once supper is over, I meander back to MY ottoman. I do deign to share it with BaileyGirl and occasionally Mulan, because she is one hot chick, but no one else is allowed on my throne. Now, it is time for a Tickle Pickle Catnip toy play time—I mean work-out. I take it to my ottoman and kick it around. I might be nice and share it with Mulan, but then again, I might not.
Oh, foster-meowmy told me to tell you that I am available for adoption, and I am supposed to tell you that I am a Lilac Mink Bi-Color Ragdoll boy (duh!), five years old (just a baby), weigh 18 pounds (yeah, that’s right, 18 pounds), and that I am a totally awesome dude just looking for a new furever home.
Since foster-meowmy really wants to keep me (she LOVES those MINKS), you better hurry before she talks herself into keeping me. It’s okay here, but really, she totally needs to watch more football, and I really need my own space. You know; I need a man-cave. Yes, that’s what I need. So contact MeLinda at melindahug65 [at] wildblue.net or 972-872-9346 if you want to fill out an application to take me home. Oh, and she said to remind everyone that we do not do out-of-state adoptions other Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana.
Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
Sam is the BEST! I am so lucky that my first Ragdoll is such a great cat. He sleeps in the bed with me, loves to be brushed, sleeps out on his window perch enjoying the view and the sunlight, and he loves to “help me” make the bed. HA!
He also has enjoyed playing with a feather wand toy and I now have to hide it or he will grab it and run off with it! He is so gorgeous and he is absolutely perfect! Can’t believe someone did not get him before me!
Thank you MeLinda and Merlin’s Hope Ragdoll Rescue!
Wonderful news Melinda – he is such a big beautiful boy that I’m not surprised! Will go and check out your facebook page 🙂
Hey, good news, folks. Sam went home two weeks ago. He is now living the life of luxury with his new owner, Kara, who has posted pictures of him on the Merlin’s Hope Ragdoll Rescue Facebook page. Go check him out. He is SO spoiled.
We have more Ragdolls coming this week, so keep an eye out on http://www.merlinshope.petfinder.com.
