When I was first approached about reviewing the Royal Cat Boutique Kitty Treadmill, I was somewhat reluctant because I wasn’t sure if Charlie and Trigg would be interested in it. But, boy was a wrong! As you can see in the arrival video below, Charlie immediately used it. We filmed the arrival video for the Royal Cat Boutique Kitty Treadmill at the same time that we got other products to review, including the Neko Flies Birbug and when I was doing that arrival video, Trigg came in and started scratching on the Royal Cat Boutique Kitty Treadmill, so I included that video as well.
I have had the Royal Cat Boutique Kitty Treadmill in my dining room (I have a small home) and my cats have enjoyed using it as a landing pad, launching pad and also as a scratcher.
It retails for $44.99 and measures 18″L x 10″W. It has a plywood base, wrapped in sisal fabric and then faux leather/vinyl material on the side. If your kitty doesn’t like cardboard cat scratchers or if you don’t like the clean up, this might be a great solution. Of course, if your kitty liked cardboard cat scratchers and you’re looking for something different, this might be the ticket as well. Charlie and Trigg scratch on both cardboard and sisal – they don’t seem to have an obvious preference. The Kitty Treadmill can be leaned up against doors, baseboards and more, as Cat Wisdom 101 shows in their review of it.
