Ragdoll Cat Charlie on a Boat Ride 🍁🦃🐱❤️🚤 Thanksgiving 2017

Can you tell I am getting caught up on my videos?Ā  Geez.Ā  Man, I didn’t know how much I should have appreciated our warm Thanksgiving weather!Ā  It’s been so frigidly cold here!

This video was put together from a series of videos I did for Facebook, so that’s why the audio repeats with same info. While down at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri for Thanksgiving with my family, the weather was really nice – so we decided to go for a boat ride. My sister Amy suggested we bring Amy with us. Many readers asked me why he didn’t have a life jacket on – frankly, because I never ever thought about it. I used to take the cat I grew up with, Rags, on boat rides and we never put life jackets on him. Charlie knows how to swim, I know how to swim – it’s a lake – I am pretty sure I could get him relatively fast, especially with the 5 other adult’s help that were in the boat with us. He also shows NO SIGNS of jumping out of the boat. I know there’s the chance that the boat could crash and sink – still…the lake is a narrow lake and we could get to shore in time. I promise I would never put my cats in harm, if I thought there was harm. We were down at the lake with my parents’ Ragdoll cats, Caymus and Murphy, and my cats Charlie and Trigg. Charlie had been a pain to the other cats – as he doesn’t like not being the top cat – and we needed to get energy out of him. My sister was right in knowing this would help settle him down – he was a much nicer house guest when we got back.

    1. Agreed on the frigid temps – but again, I try to appreciate the killing of the flea population and am grateful for the sun! Yes, we are warm and toasty – thanks – hope you guys are too!

      1. i, for some reason, get wasps…and i don’t know where they come from – other than outside to avoid the cold – and i got stung this year trying to catch one!

      2. WASPS!!! YUCK!! We get lots of wasp nests in and around our apt building each year. Terrified of wasps, bees, dragon flies, mosquitos, moths…well, basically, ANYTHING that flies, buzzes or crawls! *shudder* <3

  2. lol Charlie’s hair in the wind was beautiful even though he didn’t look thrilled. that is a NICE boat. i remember being on the lake years ago.. i had a bf that had family that had a cabin out there. that area is gorgeous! crazy weather to huh? it’s January and it’s almost degrees here. i have the back door open! makes me wonder what February is going to bring. this is so unusual. last year at this time we were snowed under and freezing our tails off.
