Dog Spinny Cat Puzzle Toy

The Dog Spinny by Nina Ottosson might be marketed for dogs, but it is an awesome product for cats, especially kitties that get bored easily. You can hide treats, food, or catnip inside the spinny, and your cat (or dog) has to figure out how to open it and get at the goodies inside.

The Dog Spinny is easily one of my favorite toys for cats, despite its name. My cat Charlie needs a lot of stimulation and often acts like he’s bored. This is the first cat puzzle toy I used with him that kept his attention and got him excited. He likes figuring it out and playing with it, and of course, getting the good stuff inside. He sees it as a cat treat toy and I see it as a good challenge for him. It has been fun for me to watch him figure it out. If you’ve wondered how to keep your cat happy or how to keep your cat entertained while you’re at work, a cat puzzle feeder like this might be something to try. It could be especially helpful for those in small apartments to keep your kitty’s brain active.

The Cat Spinny (see what I did there?) is easy to take apart and can be cleaned in the dishwasher, which is a huge plus for me. It’s made of a soft, durable, and safe material and has one removable bone that your kitty has to figure out how to remove before she can spin the toy to get at the treats. The bottom has non-slip feet to keep the interactive feeder in place while your cat is working at opening or spinning it.

Here are some videos I captured of Charlie mastering the Dog Spinny:

I also ran it through the dishwasher and it was totally fine – even the anti-slip feet were fine – they didn’t melt off.
