They are very easy to use and you do not have to manipulate the wand much on your end in order to get your cat interested and excited. These are a bit harder to control than a wire wand toy with a handle, like the Tiger Teaser, but the cats still really like it and it is user-friendly. It would be an easy one for a child to play with because it doesn’t have a long string to get tangled or heavy toy on the end to swing around. As with any wand toy, it’s best not to leave it out when you aren’t using it, although that is probably more important for wand toys made with string.
