The Turbo Scratcher is one of the best cat scratcher toys we have used. It has been a favorite of Charlie’s since he was 3 months old. The center has a double-sided corrugated cardboard scratch pad that you can replace once your kitty has scratched up both sides. Around the outer edge of the toy is a track that holds a small ball. Your cat can bat and chase the ball, and you don’t have to worry about fishing it out from under furniture. Some cats prefer to sit in the center of the toy and stalk the ball from there. It comes with catnip to sprinkle into the cat scratch mat to make it more appealing for your kitty (if your cat is a fan of catnip).
Bergan also makes another cat ball toy that is like this one called the Star Chaser. It has a red motion sensor LED light inside of the ball. If you don’t want to buy an identical cat scratch toy just for the lighted ball, you can buy a replacement Bergan Twinkle Ball on Amazon and use it in place of the regular ball in your Turbo Scratcher toy. This is a great toy, but it does slide around on hard floors so you might want to put a non-stick surface on the bottom or attach it to something if you don’t want the whole toy sliding around the house.
