AirDoctor 5000

The AirDoctor 5000 is a large and powerful air purifier that can improve the quality of the air in your home, especially if you have pets. It has a multi-filtration system that captures dust, pet dander and the molecules in the air responsible for many pet odors, so that you (and your cat) can breathe easier.

Description

There are three filters in the AirDoctor 5000, each responsible for a different job. The pre-filter captures larger particles – dust and pet hair – trapping them to prevent them floating around your home and settling on surfaces.

The carbon filter is the next stage, which is what traps the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are responsible for odors, particularly from litter trays. Finally, a HEPA filter captures the smallest airborne particles down to 0.003 microns, including many common allergens.

It’s a completely sealed system so nothing will escape once the purifier captures it, and there’s a handy indicator light to tell you when you need to swap out the filters.

It’s got an automatic mode too, so it can detect changes in the air quality and switch on by itself – although if you use it next to a litter tray, you may wish to avoid this as it could spook your cat when it suddenly switches on as they’re going to the toilet. You can switch it on and off manually instead.

The AirDoctor 5000 is suitable for larger rooms – it can circulate all of the air in a 1,000 square foot room four times every hour, and twice an hour for rooms that are double that size. This does mean it’s a larger unit (28.75 inches tall by 16 inches wide and 16 inches deep), so bear that in mind if you want to use it in a smaller space.
