Do you use a pet stroller? An impromptu discussion occurred on our Facebook page the other day about pet strollers, which made me want to put together this post.

Here are the 9 most popular cat strollers on Amazon.

What makes a cat stroller popular?  It is the way the cat fits inside?  The ease in getting the animal in and out of the stroller?  The wheels on the stroller?  That’s why I want to know if you walk your cat in a stroller and what specifically you like about your stroller and why.

I work during the day and live in a condo and there is no way to just let my cat out into a back yard having a stroller gets me out on the weekends and has me walking and taking her with me. I do not own a car because of poor vision and so this way I can get her to the vet if I need to. Truffles does seem to really enjoy going places she loves the pet store, parks and I even take the stroller on the bus everyone loves her and it is fun to show her off. The Pet Gear Stroller gives Truffles a lot of room to move around, It opens easily there are many places for her to look out the stroller from all sides and my stroller came with a rain cover. The wheels are large and the stroller is made well. I did have one time the front wheel came off and I lost the hardware that went to hold the wheel the company was very helpful and sent me new hardware so the wheel is now on the stroller. It truly has been a good stroller. Thanks Carolyn

Super Pawesome topic, Jenny! Wow! These strollers are so cool! I was drawn immediately to number one and then scrolled down to find it’s the most expensive one, of course…lol 🙂 We don’t have a stroller for Miss PSB as she is strictly an indoors kitty. However, that might change one day as some of these strollers are very reasonably priced and it might be fun to take her outside for a stroll in the cooler months. 🙂 <3

    Thanks for the great info!

Big hugs & lots of love!

Yes, I do walk my kitties in their stroller but haven’t done it lately. I have also used the stroller to take Illaria and Gracie to the vet and put them inside it together and then loaded the stroller in the backseat. It is a tight fit, but very sturdy and stationary. They seem to enjoy the ride and are very inquisitive when inside it. Ours looks like #6 but I got it from the ABC catalog a long time ago, but it was about the same price as listed here. Thanks so much for putting this up because it made me remember about it and would love to take them on a walk again if it ever stops raining over here in VA! ♥♥

Hi, yes we use a pet stroller for our floppy cat Mulsanne very often when we’re out walking the dog also. We purchased a gently used Outward Hound brand from Craig’s list. Best purchase ever… it’s very similar to the 4 wheeled version examples seen here (with 2 sets of double wheels up front and single wheels in back.) I wrap his harness leash system around handle bar in case he decides to bolt, or you can zipper the screen shut. As long as we keep moving, he’s very content. If we stop to visit neighbors, he may jump out and I let him while we’re stationary. He will also take a nap in it in a quiet part in the yard. It’s great to take to another destination for those cats who like to walk on leashes outside, but a bit fearful of a new area they’ve not seen before. The stroller is a familiar comfortable place to be in those circumstances. BTW, you will LOVE the attention a cat in a stroller brings; it’s hilarious how many people have never seen it. I recommend them and enjoy!
