Peach Pet Provisions Catnip Kicks Cat Kicker Toys Product Review

Peach Pet Kicker and Lounger Trigg Dean from Floppycats Crazy EyePeach Pet Provisions has been making cat loungers and hammocks for kitties and pups for awhile now and just recently came out with their Catnip Kick Toy. We received two of the Catnip Kicks to review when they sent us their new cat lounger to review. So, the Catnip Kicks arrival video is part of the Cat Lounger video below.

Peach Pet sent us 3 of their Catnip Kicks – specifically we got the following fabric designs: Rosie, Archimedes and Tide Pool Catnip Kick toys.

I can’t find the Archimedes one.  That’s how much they have been loved – my guess is it’s under a piece of furniture.

The Peach Pet Provisions Catnip Kicks Cat Kicker Toys are made and sourced in the USA and measure 9.5″ x 2.5″. They are filled with USA grown organic catnip and some fiber fill.

One of the great things about Peach Pet Provisions is that if you are unsatisfied with a purchase from them for any reason, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

The Peach Pet Catnip Kicks Toys come in many of the fun grown, woven, & printed in the USA fabrics that Peach Pet has:

I really like this toy – as you’ll see in the final review video – these are fun to throw onto the cats, drop on the cats or play with them.

Rumor has it that Peach Pet might be coming out with a Catnip Kick that is filled entirely of catnip – I am most excited about this one.  While my cats have not succeeded in ripping through the fabric, they are filled with catnip and fiber fill, so I have to keep a closer eye on them to make sure that the cats don’t open them up and eat any of the fiber fill.  With that said, I have never put the toys up – they have always been laying around the house for the kitties to play with.  I like to pick them up, scrunch them (to “activate” the catnip smell) and then throw them at the cats (because they are already looking at me for scrunching them) – and then they get it, grab it, bunny kick it, lick it.  It’s hysterical.  You can see what I mean in the videos below.  I would prefer that they be filled with 100% catnip so that I don’t have to think twice about the fiber fill.

Overall, the neat freak in me prefers toys with catnip on the inside like this one.  That way I don’t have to vacuum up the loose catnip, but the kitties can still get high and enjoy the catnip.

I like this toy too for kittens that are teething – it is long enough for their body and gives them soft to sink their teeth into.  I get a lot of emails from kitten parents thinking that their cat is a biter and need to know how to stop the behavior.  More times than not, the kitten is simply teething and is looking to relieve pain – so they bite the owner’s hand or arm.  Toys like this help to alleviate those sorts of issues.

Great reviews Jenny! We love, love, love these as well as all the other wonderful lounges and pillows that Peach Pet Provisions make. A couple things I would like to point out as a big difference in these and other catnip kicker toys – Being made with Peach’s top quality fabrics and stitching, they don’t tear apart like some of them do. We still have the ones we got last year that they are using currently and they are ALL still going strong. Wish I had the ability to post a photo because Miss Mari had one of them out just the other day and was going to town kicking it with all her might and then slept with it. That is really a feat that no other catnip toy has ever had here because Miss Mari likes to chew the ends off every one of them she can find. On the other toys, the catnip pours out the end and then the stuffing and they have to be thrown away. Not with this one. Even after all this time, it only shows a little wear of some claw/teeth marks, but nothing major that would make it disintegrate or be unusable. Secondly, the top-notch catnip they use is the bomb! It is still having great effects on the girls and they still enjoy them. The one Mari sought out the other day is one that I didn’t store in a zip lock bag like I do for several that I held back when/if these ever give out! Haha! Can’t go wrong with any of the Peach Pet Provisions products! They are AMAZING!!!!!♥♥♥♥

I bought one of the Catnip Kicks for my kitty. I’m not sure, since she’s so young, that she’ll respond to catnip. However, she might like to bite this when she’s teething.

  3. Lyn Johnson says:

Do you think this size would be too large for a 10-week-old kitten? I’ve also read that kittens don’t normally respond to catnip.

    • Jenny says:

I hope the breeder isn’t giving you the kitten at 10 weeks old! It shouldn’t leave it’s mom or siblings until it’s AT LEAST 12 weeks old.

With that said, I think it’s 6 months old to 1 year that they respond to catnip. I don’t think this will be too big – at least not for long.

      • Lyn Johnson says:

I probably will buy only one Cat Kicker Toy, so I’ll have it on-hand when the kitten gets older.

Thanks for mentioning that I shouldn’t get the kitten until it’s 12 weeks old (he said previously that kittens normally go to their new homes when they are 10 weeks old). I’ll let the breeder know I don’t want to get her until she’s 12 weeks old.

Also, there will be some construction work being done in my condo building starting Monday, that will continue for at least 6 weeks, and I don’t want to get the kitten until that work is completed (she’ll be about 12 weeks old then).

These are fabulous! My girls love, love, love them and do the bunny kick thing as soon as these come out. Never even considered it a problem about the fiber fill here because they’re so well made and strong with velcro on the end that opens. My girls don’t play that hard to pull anything out. But, will say that Miss Mari chews the ends of all catnip toys and all of them that we have except these, have been ruined almost immediately because of that. She will chew off the end and the catnip just pours out. With these, she gets into the bunny kicking thing so hard that is a workout in and of itself and then she just goes to sleep holding it! So cute. Know she will really look forward to the ones that are all catnip inside! Anything that Peach makes is a quality product because they put so much thought and love into each and every one of their products. They test them on their own fur children and so they have to pass a strict test before they are put into production. Wonderful people with excellent quality products!♥♥♥♥

Great review, video & pics! These are really great catnip toys!!! I was lucky enough to receive a couple of these as a gift from a dear friend (thank you so much Teresa Reid!) and Miss Pink Sugarbelle adores them!!! I highly recommend them as they are so durable and made with such great materials sources right here in the good ol’ USA! Great idea about storing them in a ziplock bag with catnip to let them “marinate.” If Peach Pet Provisions makes a 100% catnip kicker then that would be awesome!!! Thanks for the great info, Jenny!

    Big hugs!

    Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3
