  1. I’ve read about this scratching post before! Cloud is more of a sisal scratcher, and the only post that we have in the house is made of wood (from Natural Scratch.) He’d be thrilled to get his claws on this!

  2. For anyone that reads this, I can tell you that TopCat posts are AWESOME. I have had two in my house since I adopted my Rags. They are great for big cats–sturdy, tall, and well-built. Excellent customer service also. Two friends of the family liked mine so much they ordered them for their cats (non-Rags). If I won another one I would donate it to my local no-kill shelter. Those kitties love to scratch!

  3. My kitties love to scratch–especially vertically where they can stretch out. A great post like this with the sisal base would be a wonderful addition and would most certainly be well used!

  4. My raggy kitten loves the one scratcher he does have, but it doesn’t have enough sisal rope on it. He would really enjoy climbing up a new one in the living room!

  5. Thank you a bazillion times to whoever designed sisal scratching pads and posts! My furniture almost never gets a scritching, phew! As much as Annie loves them, another one in the family room would be pretty exciting for her.

  6. I was introduced to the wondrous world of Ragdolls with my adoption of Andy off the streets of Brooklyn as a 6 lb. kitten (which I did not realize). He scratches and pulls at my upholstered footrest. Amazingly, he stops when gently told “no-no.” – but when I am not around, he is having a field day! I have a scratching post that my 2 non-rags use, but I think maybe it is not big enough for the now 16 lb. Andy since he pulls it across the room. All the posts here make this one sound perfect for him and he is so perfect for me.

  7. I just brought home a new seal point lynx mitted ragdoll & does he ever like to scratch his little sharp nails!!! wow I need one in every room!! I would love to win one for him to keep out in our TV area. This one looks nice enough to have out with company!!!

  8. I now subscribe via email and confirmed… for a second entry, my cat needs this because he likes to shred my wallpaper instead-those floor scratchers don’t work for him, he likes to scratch up higher while stretching, so this is perfect.

  9. We are getting ready to adopt our first ragdoll. She will be ready to come home with us right after Christmas, so we need everything. She will not only be our first ragdoll, but our first kitten in over 15 years. We just bought our first condo, and we can now have a little one to complete our family. We do not have any children, so we are very excited about this.

      1. Thank you for your interest. We live near Atlantic City, NJ and we found a breeder about an hour away, right outside of Philadelphia, PA. We are going for our first visit on Saturday, can’t wait.

  10. My Specter and Piper would LOVE this new scratching post! They have pretty much destroyed our one chair, which we’re getting rid of. We need to distract them from the new slipcovers we bought for the rest of our furniture!

  11. I have a 5 month old Ragdoll named, Gracie kelly, and she scratched up my rug. I’ve been using the clicker method training to get her to use her scratch board instead. I know she will love this vertical sisal scratching post during a good stretch. Thank you for allowing us to enter the contest. Gracie could use a good Scratching post.

    Thank you very much,

    Evie Gregory
