Nico – Ragdoll of the Week
Hi, I am Ragdoll Mommy from my blog, Life with Ragdolls.
I have a very handsome male Ragdoll cat, his name is Nico, he is my cuddler day& nite! Nico is a Blue Bicolor Ragdoll cat, he is 5 years old. He was born in August 14th, Thursday, 2008. Nico has a sister, her name is Anya. Nico and Anya are litter mates from the same parents and the same litter.
Nico loves to play, loves the outdoors even though he is a indoor cat only. Nico has a kitty condo and he likes to sit on top of it! He also likes to fight with my mixed breed cat, Lady. He loves sitting in the window and he likes sitting in front of the TV, while someone is watching it. He also likes to watch The Florida Gators (My favorite football team) play. He loves to play fetch and he likes to play “hockey!”with an ice cube, if I throw it down the hallway he just RUNS AFTER IT, full speed ahead LOL! Nico’s favorite toy is his football toy thingy.
Nico eats Purina cat chow Complete, I know that’s not the healthiest thing out there, but that’s the only thing that doesn’t make him sick. Plus he has been eating that his whole life. But sometimes I make frozen cat food for him and Anya. Most of the time that’s what I use when we play Hockey with him lol. I normally just use cat food with water or some yogurt and olive oil,( I tried it myself… It was delicious LOL!)
; and I meant the yogurt… Not the cat food!
To do this you are gonna need to:
1: Get a large or small container with a lid, probably plastic works best.
2: Get some plain or Greek yogurt (My Ragdolls and I like Greek the best), and put some of it into a plastic container.
3: Pour a very small amount of olive oil in it, probably about a teaspoon full.
4: Stir it up with a spoon.
5: Let it sit for about 1 or 2 minutes.
6: Then put on the lid and put it in the freezer for overnight.
7: Get it out the next day and let it sit on the kitchen counter for about 5 minutes.
8: Enjoy!
Note: If you or your cat is allergic… Then please do not try this!
; and it’s also a smart idea to let your veterinarian be sure that this is okay for your kitty!
Another note: Yogurt and olive oil are both good for you and your kitty, so enjoy!
Nico likes to go for walks on his cat harness and leash! He is my baby boy!
I love the fact that he’s leash trained! So cool! I love Ragdolls!!
Nico also doesn’t mind going for car rides, but he does cry some. Poor boy….
I got Nico and his sister Anya on July 1 Sunday, 2012. From Orlando,Florida.
They were only 3 years old back then (Almost 4 years old).
Nico is declawed, I didn’t do it. But he has back claws.
Nico is a 100% real Ragdoll. He and his sister Anya are registered with the TICA. Their parents are also 100% real Ragdolls and they are registered with the TICA; and all of them have the papers to prove it!
Nico is a pet Quality Ragdoll only, I never saw ANYTHING wrong with his coloring or anything, but hey I am also not their breeder. So no telling.
Nico has the longest tail I have ever seen on any cat/Ragdoll!
Nico weighs 14lbs (Normal weigh for a Ragdoll).
I hope everyone loved Nico’s story!
Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
Thanks for sharing Nico’s story and pictures with us this time so his feelings won’t be hurt over Anya’s fame 🙂 He is gorgeous and looks SO sweet!!!
Oh, he is!
I love both of my Raggies!

he is a beauty. I love the photo of them with their little jackets on.. so cute. thanks for sharing your story.
Thanks:-)
Poor Nico- watching Gator football this year has not been very fun! (a friend coaches there). His other games sound like they would be a better time. Love the close-ups of his killer blue eyes- he’s definitely a beauty! Thanks for sharing his story. My Emily also loves to walk on a leash in the backyard and the driveway- we get a lot of stares!
Yeah, poor Gators:-( I hope they do better next year! I love that team, in fact they are my one-and-only team!
They could use some good support!
Do you vote for them?
Wow! Two very beautiful furbaby raggies . . . Anya and Nico are both gorgeous, and your very real love for them shines through every word you write about them! I feel as if I know them. Thank you for sharing the beautiful blue-eyes with us and making your story so alive with their very own ragdoll magic.
Ha!
Yep I am obsessed with the breed and my Ragdolls!
I am planing on being a Ragdoll breeder in the future!
Do you have a Raggie?
Hi, Ragdoll Mommy!
So happy to see Nico as a Ragdoll of the Week! What a very handsome (and charming) boy! He sounds purrfect!
I love that he’s a hockey player! Soooo cute! 🙂
I can tell how much love you have for your Raggie babies from your Ragdoll of the Week information! They are very lucky Raggies, indeed! Truly!
Please give Nico a nice belly rub and cuddle from me! (And also give the same to the GORGEOUS Anya! Having a jealous Diva is no fun! lol)
You are such a lucky gal to have so many beautiful furry babies in your home!
Much love & hugs from one furry baby mommy to another!
Patti & Pink Sugar 🙂 <3
Lol, I sure am!
And yes I will give Nico a hug, but since he doesn’t really like belly rubs, I will give him a pat on his head as he luvs that!
And I will give Anya a hug and a belly rub as she likes it.
Ps: Sorry I never sent you an email w/the video of him playing fetch. I forgot:-(
However I will try n’ get one this weekend:-)

Sounds great, hon! (I’m sorry I overlooked the info about Nico not liking belly rubs. So old! lol)
We look forward to the video.
Big hugs!

No, I haven’t. I guess one day, I might. I’d have to get all my photos together and take some newer pictures, too. I do most of my Pink Sugar exposure on my FB page.
I’ll definitely have to think about this, though. 🙂
Big hugs!
Yeah, I think it would be nice to see more pics of your BEAUTIFUL girl!
Aw, thanks so much Abby! 🙂 <3
I think sometime I will have to put up Tadpole as Ragdoll Of The Week!
Oh, yes! Do that. It would so lovely to read about his story and see more lovely pics of him. 🙂 <3
Yeppers!
I will have to send Jenny an email, I think I’ll do that on Thursday.

So Nico’s a sports fan!! Typical dude, eating his snacks in front of the TV. “Hey, Mom, where’s the remote?” The football players probably look like gophers to him. (Yeah, just try pouncing on one of those 240-lb. defensive tackles, young man.)
He looks like he has rabbity fur–does he?
No need to prove his pedigree–the flop confirms it. =) And pet quality rocks!! Thanks for sharing Nico and Anya with us. You are a proud mommy–and rightfully so.
Lol, yes!
Hi there, I saw that Nico was one of the Ragdolls of the week and read your article. Wow, he is so beautiful. He definitely has show quality looks. Gracie is a blue bicolor too, but doesn’t have as much blue in her coat s Nico does. I wish she did though. I wonder if all Ragdolls like playing with balls. Gracie likes playing with her soft foot balls too, and she loves playing in the tub with her pingpongs. She could catch a ball when you toss it to her. How did you get Nico to play fetch? They are both so beautiful!!!
