Milo – Ragdoll of the Week
My name is Milo, but I will also answer to Floof and Mo. I am 5 years old and came to live with my family when I was just 12 weeks.
My family became interested in Ragdolls after their friendly, cuddly orange kitty passed away. They researched cat breeds looking for a cat with a laid-back personality and naturally came to the conclusion that a Ragdoll was the cat for them.
They researched breeders and found me at Izzadorable Rags in Surrey, British Columbia. They made several trips out to visit me and all my siblings. I was the first one to play with the young boy who came along and snuggled into his lap after a bit of chasing and playing. I just knew that they belonged to me.
I’m an only pet, so totally spoiled (but don’t tell them), I get pretty much whatever I want and they go to extreme lengths to make sure I am as happy and pampered as I deserve to be.
I am also fearless. I leap to great heights, balance precariously on high railings, and get myself into all sorts of trouble. I eat any tiny little piece of string, dust, dirt, cat hair, etc that I can find. That doesn’t always work out so well for me. I came down with something called pyothorax and almost died. We don’t know exactly what caused it, but suspect it was something as small as a grass seed that punctured my esophagus and caused my chest to fill up with fluid. If my family hadn’t noticed my funny breathing and agreed to do whatever it took to get me better, I surely wouldn’t be here today. It hasn’t stopped me from eating things I shouldn’t though.
When I’m not eating dirt, I get Natural Balance Premium cat food, which I love. I also get a little bit of dry food, but I mostly scatter it around the floor and wait for someone to step on it. I’m easily amused. I also like to drink from water glasses. The minute dad gets out of his chair and isn’t looking, I go straight to his glass. He doesn’t love that but everyone else thinks it’s funny.
I fetch just about everything, but the mini crinkle balls are my absolute favourite. I brought one with me when I came here 4 years ago and no matter how many often I misplace it, my family finds it and I can hear the crinkle sound from anywhere and I come running. I will entertain myself for hours chasing that ball around.
I sleep on mom and dad’s bed at night and they are very careful not to disturb me. I take turns snuggling each of my family members so no one feels left out.
Visitors to our house often say they want to sneak me out in their purses, but my mom makes sure that doesn’t happen. Thank goodness, because I really like it here.

Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat, Rags, I created Floppycats to connect, share and inspire other Ragdoll cat lovers around the world,
Hello,
I am considering a kitten from Izzadorable Ragdolls. Was the breeder helpful and easy to deal with? When you visited the breeder were the conditions good?
