March 2020 Giveaway: Nina Ottosson Dog/Cat Spinny

Up for grabs this month is a Nina Ottosson Dog/Cat Spinny.  In 2010, a PR rep reached out to me, asking me if I would like to try this cat puzzle toy.  I knew Charlie was food motivated, so I agreed to give it a try.  And Charlie loved it.

Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Toy

This is a level 1 toy – meaning, it is the easiest level.  You put treats in the compartments around the circle, and then place the bone in the Spinny.  The cat has to remove the bone to access the first compartment of treats.  And then the cat has to spin the toy to get access to the other ones.   Watch how Charlie gets it done in this old video:

This is a great cat toy for those cats that are food motivated, and get bored – this keeps them mentally entertained and makes them work for their food.

  1. i think it would be great for both dogs and cats. it gives them something to think about when getting a free treat.i tried one similar a long time ago with my 2 dogs but they could not get the hang of it. i do like these kinds of interactive toys. i would love to try one of these for my girls again to see if i could get them to learn out to get the treats. it is mentally good for both dogs and cats.
