Kimba – Ragdoll Kitten of the Month

Kimba – a Ragdoll Kitten Living in Berlin, Germany

kimba-ragdoll-kitten-of-the-month-1I want to introduce our kitten called “kimba” to you!

He was born on 27.7.2016 in Berlin and we got him in the middle of October. We Are still excited about having a cat and especially a ragdoll!

We choose the breed because we are on firsthand dog lovers but haven’t enough time.
We live in a nice House with our three kids in berlin. Our kids love all animals and are crazy about our small rabbit we already own.

kimba-ragdoll-kitten-of-the-month-1So we decided it’s Time for a bigger a decent pet! So I searched the internet for a cat with doggish behavior…and found the ragdoll! I was immediately stunned by the silky fur the blue eyes and the size of the cats…

Than we found a family that happened to have a fresh litter by accident…. their newly little male ragdoll cat hopped on their older femal ragdoll before he was sterelised. They had three kittens and we just wanted to have a first look at ragdoll cats! So we fixed a quick Date…and were hooked: the kittens were so sweet, so soft and furry and the blue eyes… heavenly!

So we bought the liveliest kitten and waited a few weeks to bring him home! I was so excited all the time… can’t await the date! At 15. October we could bring him home….
he wasn’t afraid at all. He came out of his carrying box immediately and visited the house! He sniffed very earnest through all rooms and corners. Now he is settled and quite familiar with our stairs and all three stories in the house…

kimba-ragdoll-kitten-of-the-month-1Now we are deeply in love with our kimba. He is named after a little white lion from a cartoon tv series back in the 80’s! I loved the musical theme of “kimba”….and it’s quite a proud Name but somehow sweet too!

Most of the time he follows us around the house. We have to be careful because often he is right under our heels and a step back is painful for him…. if he is on our lap or arms he is purring like a machine and presents his little belly….When I take him on my arm he is so sloppy like a ragdoll can ever be…. like a Little furry rug!

Once in a while he goes crazy and is wheeling up and down catching his tail or his playmouse…. and he loves entering shopping bags because of the noise they make!

After that he sleeps a good time! He loves his freshfood but unfortunately gets diarrhea when eating too much of it. So we cut ist Short – but he runs to our fridge every time when its opened…. and he is very interested in our human food! He sniffs on every crumb that is fallen down and if you can’t stop him instantly he is like a vacuum cleaner….

We love our little chap! I can’t await to see him grow… and am curious what colour and marks he develops over the time….first they are quite white but he has this little red Mitted marks on him.

Ragdolls Are the coolest cats on earth!! Hope we have a long great time with him….

Thank you for sharing Simba with us! He is beautiful and sounds like the perfect match for your family. I can totally relate to how hard it was to wait to bring him home – I have 2 more weeks to wait until my Ragdoll kitten sisters are ready to come live with us! It is hard to be patient when they are so adorable!❤️

    1. Hi cinde,
yes, that was a hard time!!! But you get the reward later on….. now we have a second chap calles Calimero! He is a ragdoll too and the Little fellows love each other. It was very good for us to get a ragdoll because of their nice charkter – they are very relaxed with our tree children!

    1. Hi Patti,
very good German …. 🙂 how nice!
Thanks for your comment…we love Kimba so much. It was the best Thing for us to get a ragdoll….the children are crazy about kimba and he is so very relaxed with them. It is marvellous! Now we got a Little friend for him: he is a ragdoll too and we call him Calimero. I am very happy that they love each other and Play all the time – chasing and licking each other, sleeping together an so on….. uff! We have to see what were going to do when the weather is now fine and sunny – our door in the garden is then open and the cats will lurk out! I am not sure if we can hinder them from running free not just in our garden but elsewhere in the park and our streets…. 🙁 Most ragdoll are strickly indoor cats. But Kimba wants to go out…he is just waiting behind our door to rush into freedom….
      Ah, we will see!
      Lol

  5. Kimba is one of the most gorgeous Ragdoll kittens I’ve ever seen. I had a Flame Pointed Bi-Color, named Tobasco, that was unbelievably beautiful and I’m sure as Kimba gets a little older, the gorgeous red will softly start spreading down his back and make for a breathtakingly beautiful cat. The best of luck with him.

    1. Hi Doll,
you are so right about the fur and colour!!! In the meantime Kimba is grown to a big cat and he is georgeous to look at! Really!!! Thanks for your wishes….

Thank you for sharing your story all the way from across the Atlantic! Kimba is beautiful now and will grow into a magnificent fellow. His markings, while light in color, are very evenly distributed and will probably darken nicely. He will be quite striking. Enjoy your little boy and keep us up-to-date on his adventures! He looks like he keeps you all busy! Hint: You Tube Video would be fun!

    1. Hi Barletta,
thanks for leaving a message! Kimba is grown much bigger in the meantime and he ist a real Beauty so far…. so fluffy and nice colouring (he is cream White with caramelshading on ears and tail and a Lynx-marked face….

We enjoy every second and we got a companion for him – a second ragdollcat calles Calimero! His eyes are darker blue and he has chocolat markings on ears, tail an a racoon-mask in the face….. looking like al Little Bandit!!!
unfortunatly i am not so firm in making utube Videos so far…. i will think it over to share one 🙂
      Best regards from Berlin
