The Katris Nest is a combination of a cat bed and a scratching bowl – offering cats a place where they can rest, rub and also get rid of any of that pent-up scratching energy at the same time.

It’s a large 19” bowl shape that’s made with over 100 cardboard pieces around the edge, which are designed to flex and shift slightly as your cat moves against them, providing a relaxing back rub whenever they need it.

It’s made from high-density cardboard that can withstand scratching, and all held together with a non-toxic glue for safety. It can apparently hold up to 200lb in weight without collapsing, so no cat is going to break it apart by rubbing against it.

In the center of the bowl is a flat scratching pad that can be replaced, along with a removable felt cover. Add the cover when your cat just prefers to use the bowl as a bed or remove it if you want to give your cat the maximum space to scratch. That center pad is made from a tough corrugated card that is designed to be long-lasting.

You can buy it unassembled or assembled. If you choose the unassembled option – it comes flat-packed, so you need to place the side panels yourself to build it. While there are 108 of them, it’s estimated that it should only take around 15 minutes to get it fully set up. But these ones being given away are assembled =).
