Katris Modular Cardboard Cat Scratcher Furniture Review

When Papercut Lab reached out to me to see if we would be interested in reviewing their Katris Modular Cardboard Cat Scratchers, it was an immediate, “YES!”.  I have already seen them featured on Hauspanther and knew my cats (Trigg, especially) would love them – but I loved their dual purpose of being a design element in a home as well. The Katris Modular Cardboard Cat Scratcher Furniture is made with 90% post consumer recycled content and SGS certified non-toxic glue.  Making them eco-friendly cat furniture as well. Katris is currently sold in five different shapes:

• Shape I 32″ x 8″ x 8″ 9.2 lbs
• Shape Z 24″ x 16″ x 8″ 8.9 lbs
• Shape T 24″ x 16″ x 8″ 9.2 lbs
• Shape O 16″ x 16″ x 8″ 7.2 lbs
• Shape L 24″ x 16″ x 8″ 8.9 lbs

You can buy each piece individually – so you don’t have to get all 5 – you could always get 3 Os or whatever. Each block comes with clips that you can use to secure one piece to the other – check out the videos below to see what I mean. Papercut Lab does caution – DO NOT stack Katris more than five pieces tall. I think Katris is such a cool concept for both the human and the cat – I love this idea and found the product to be made of high quality cardboard.  We have had it since May and I have not had to clean up cardboard pieces from their scratching (which means it is high quality cardboard).
