Trigg and Charlie hate being brushed.  Let’s just get that out of the way first.  It doesn’t matter what the brush is, they just don’t like it.

With that said, I like the JW Pet GripSoft Soft Slicker Brush very much and think it is a great brush for many reasons – it had a rubber sheathed handle so that it doesn’t slip in your hands.  It also has finger fitting contours.

It also comes with a 3-year guarantee that it will be replaced if it fails to performs as advertised.

The JW Pet GripSoft Soft Slicker Brush is recommended for regular brushing for all cats with all coat types.

The angled pins are great for brushing aids in the reduction of hairballs and helps to reduce shedding.

It is especially recommended for cat’s with sensitive skin – I even ran it across my skin to see what it felt like and it’s very soft.

  1. Hawkeyes mom says:

I have this brush. Hawkeye is not fond of brushing, but he tolerates it, and he seems to be liking the feeling by the end of the session. It does pick up loose hair and is really easy to clean. I like that it is gentle, even when I hit a little tangled part on his belly.

Diva HATES slicker brushes… which is what that brush is. She doesn’t mind a comb, but she says Noooo nooo noo noo softer and softer until she is purring and almost passing out. When she was a kitten, she hated having her nails done and being touched, but he told me not to let her win or I would never get her nails done.

Now, when she sees the nail clipper, she jumps on the couch but out of reach until she sees treats, and then she will come onto my lap.

She’s a real character. Twice a day, she comes onto my lap and will paw at my left arm until it is in the right position, and she will drop back onto that arm so that I can hold her like a baby….. she doesn’t want me to rub her or do anything, she just wants to be held like the 8lb baby she is. What a goof she is… she makes me laugh every day.
