How the Peach Pet Provision Cat Lounger Fabrics Hold Up to Washing

I posted the video of washing the Peach Pet Provision Cat Loungers‘ Fabrics on our YouTube channel the other day – but wanted to share it here as well because I think this is an important topic of discussion.  Not only for Peach Pet Provisions’ products but for all pet beds/fabrics.  I also think if anyone has tips or tricks about washing pet beds, etc. we can share them here.  For example, what detergent do you use  and why?  Do you spray your beds with a stain fighter before washing them?  Do you think your washing machine makes the difference in how well it gets clean or is it the fabric’s resistance to stain?  Please post any tips you have in the comments section below.

I thought the fabrics held up really well.  I washed all but the red one together and then washed the red one separately just in case it bled the first time through the washer.

I also ended up drying the fabrics for about 10 minutes, hoping to steam heat them so that they wouldn’t have wrinkles.  I do NOT recommend drying them – it made the polka-dot one much smaller and I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to get it back on the frame.  However, I did get it back on the frame and it ended up being tighter from the drying process.

If you are interested in purchasing one of these cat hammocks, I have included links below.  If you want to share your pet bed washing tips, please do so in the comments below!

  1. Great video & info, Jenny! I use our normal Purex liquid detergent for washing any material covered bedding for Miss PSB and then let them air dry, if needed, or toss them on low in our dryer. I do use the Fizzion enzyme cleaner to pretreat any specific dirts/stains I find. I also use that for our regular laundry as a pre-treatment for dirt and stains, too!

    Big hugs!

      1. I just lurve me some Frizzion! I always make sure I have a few pouches of spare tabs in my laundry room. Never want to run out! 🙂 <3

      1. I would suggest getting the Medium – I wouldn’t ever suggest getting a bed for the size of a kitten…as they don’t stay that size. So I would get it for the size the cat will be. Fizzion is awesome – here’s a link:
