Have You Tried Out Robo Fish with Your Kitty?

Share this post:

Robo FishOver 1 year ago, Michael Strange, a floppy cat owner and a Floppycats reader, told me about Zuru Toys Robo Fish.

I found them at CVS Pharmacy a few months later and tried them on Charlie and Trigg.  They were a hit and the video has done well on YouTube – nearing 110K views.

Many people have purchased these for their kitties – although they were not originally made with kitties in mind.  Have you purchased some?  How do you like them?  What about your kitties?  Do you put them in a bucket, sink, bathtub or somewhere else?

Interested in seeing if they interest your kitty?  You can buy them online:

Buy Robo Fish on Amazon – they are now less than $5 each with free shipping.

Buy Robo Fish on eBay – these ship from Hong Kong (where Robo Fish are made) but a subscriber swears they’re reputable.  NO promises.  It’s $19.98 for a 4-pack.

  1. awesome! I loved watching your cats, so pretty 🙂 My cats would love these! I will have to try the glass bowl on the floor idea since I don’t like my cats to be on the counters. Thanks for posting!

  2. Hi, Jenny!

I’ve had these on my Kitty Wish List since I first saw them on Floppycats last year. 🙂

Although, I don’t really have the counter space for Pink Sugar to play with these in my kitchen sink I could try the bathroom sink. These are the times when I wish we had a bathtub, darnit! 🙂

Thanks for posting about these again as it has made me think about getting her one of these again very soon!

    Big hugs!

Patti & Pink Sugar (who says, “I wantz dem fishez!”) 🙂 <3

    1. Patti, does Pink Sugar plan on obtaining gainful employment any time soon? This cat stuff is adding up $$$$$$. It’s a tough job market for domesticated house cats, especially those who flop a lot, but I know of two Persians employed as pole dancers. In today’s economy, it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

My two are elderly, but that should not prevent them from getting part-time jobs at Walmart. Izzy would be a great employee, thoughtful, punctual, kind, terrified of being fired. I wouldn’t hire Jolie for anything, but that doesn’t mean Walmart won’t. Or maybe a ski lodge could hire her, placing her gently over the back of a couch for that homey look. She wouldn’t move all day. I’d drop her off in the morning and pick her up at night.

      1. Good morning, DB!

LMAO!!! Hilarious! Great timing with your comment, as now Pink Sugar wants one of those “mink mouse” toys that Christy B. was talking about in yesterday’s post about the new Bird Wand toy thingy…. lol 🙂

Izzy sounds like a real people pleaser and Jolie sounds like she doesn’t need to please anyone but herself (atta girl, Jolie!)! What characters they must be…

What fun it must be to live with two such different amazing kitties!

        Big hugs!

        Patti & Pink Sugar 🙂 <3

  3. These are on my wish list. Because my two cats are swimmers, I know right where they’ll go. But it sounds SO Marin County (stop laughing, Lynn), especially since I’ve admitted to having peacock feathers. OK, so I’m from Marin Co., but that doesn’t mean I have to be an eccentric weirdo, although I am.

    Hot tub.

    Now you can laugh.
