When it comes to stories about animal rescue, dogs often take all the glory. But what about our feline friends? Happy Tails Books, publisher of books about adopted animals that raise awareness of, and funding for rescue efforts, is expanding their “Lost Souls: Found!” series to include a book on cats.
Do you have a great story about your adopted cat? Send it in to them for a chance to see your story published in “Lost Souls: Found! Inspiring Stories About Cats.” This book will feature stories from people who have fostered and/or adopted cats, highlighting the love and joy they bring to their new homes. Submission guidelines can be found at http://happytailsbooks.com/submit.htm.
Happy Tails Books welcomes stories from writers of all ability levels, and you are welcome to submit more than one story. The more emotional (funny, happy, sad, thought-provoking) and informational your story is, the more likely it will get into the book. Stories should not exceed 1200 words.
Be sure to list where you got your pet when you submit your story because each story submitted or book purchased earns points for rescues, which turns into a donation at the end of the year.
The submission deadline for stories about cats is May 30th, however earlier submissions get first consideration for inclusion. Please don’t delay in sending in your cat’s story!
