Happy Father’s Day to the Cat Dads Out There!

Here’s my dad holding a baby Trigg.  My dad has come a long way with cats – from highly disliking them to sending me text messages and e-mails with Caymus.  I attribute his “switch” to living with and being with Rags.  When I was a little girl, my dad came in to give me a goodnight kiss.  Rags was on my bed with me and my dad said, “That is one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen.”  I beamed with pride.  I’ll never forget it.  My dad also joined me the day I had to put Rags to sleep.

Now, my dad is a slave to my parents’ cats, Caymus and Murphy.  I have enjoyed watching his relationship with them grow as my parents became empty-nesters.  I think there is more in store for my dad with cats as the years go by and I look forward to watching it grow.

Happy Father’s Day to my cat dad!

  1. That picture of your dad (is he holding a Triggy kitten?) is WONDERFUL! He looks like (and sounds like) an Awesome Dad for both kittehs and you and your sister! Miss Pink Sugarbelle’s daddy says “Thank you very much!” for the very nice Father’s Day wishes. 🙂 <3

    Big hugs!

  2. Happy Father’s Day to you, your boys and especially to your sweet Dad. Just love, love, love that photo. Love how big your Dad is next to the precious little baby kitten Trigg. Love the part in your story about when he told you how beautiful your Rags was. Just made my heart melt. Shows so much sweetness! From you story about Rags and now Caymus and Murphy, can see what a kind and compassionate man your dad truly is. You, Trigg, Charlie, Caymus and Murphy are truly blessed to have such a wonderful Dad. ♥♥♥♥

    1. Yes, I am blessed to have the dad I do! And the mom I do – thanks, Teresa. And yes, I love that my dad thinking Rags was beautiful made me feel special as a little girl – as if I had created Rags myself! Ha!
