Today is August 8, which is Rags’ birthday.  For those of you who don’t know Rags, you can read more about him here.

Rags was the cat I grew up with and the reason for the founding of this site – so he really is the true founder.

Today is 8/8 – which is my favorite number twice.  I love today’s date – but also because it can’t be misinterpreted.  Whether you’re in the USA or in the UK, Australia, South Africa, etc. 8/8 is unmistakably August 8.

You may or may not have noticed that I publish posts at 8:08am…it’s for my Rags that I do this.

Here’s one of my favorite Rags videos:

Before he passed, Rags told the animal communicator that Floppycats was important work and I should continue it – so I thank you all for being here and supporting the site.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sweet Rags!!!! (Sorry I’m a day late with my reply!) I lurve, lurve, lurve that video of your beautiful Rags, Jenny! Awesome! I’m so glad you do the work you do and am wishing and praying that your dream of doing this work full time will happen very soon for you!!!!

I don’t know where I would be without my daily fix of Floppycats.com. Thank you for your devotion to this breed and all the wonderful information you share with us on a daily basis. And to think this all started because of one very special kitteh named Rags. Thank you, Beautiful Rags, for watching over your best friend in the whole world (your Momma, Jenny!) and inspiring her to do the wonderful work she does with Floppycats.com!

    Big hugs!

Happy Birthday Rags (1 day late, sorry) Like so many have said, Thanks for the website and for giving your Mom, Jenny the inspiration to do all the things she does for “Floppycats”. It’s been so helpful to all of us “Cat People”. Once again, Thanks, and we DO plan on seeing you one day!

    • Jenny says:

this is my most favorite comment of the day, “i hope i get to meet you one day in the stars.” thanks for the big smile before i head to bed.

Happy Birthday to beautiful boy, Rags. I know he is in raggie heaven with my sweet boy Derby, who has been gone for two years and two days. Jennie, I know you miss Rags every day, as I do my Derby. It is so incredibly sad when they have to leave you. Very happy birthdays wishes to Rags from Chelsea, my Derby’s sister, and me.

Happy Birthday sweet Rags!!!! Your Mama and your baby brothers, Charlie and Trigg, work tirelessly every single day giving great reviews on all kinds of safe, interesting and innovative products that other kitties and their parents would never know about otherwise. They honor your Floppycats legacy every day. Know you are so proud of them and cheer them on daily! Thanks Rags. You were and still are a true angel to all of us.

What a beautiful, wonderful little man Rags was. He looks like a little explorer! I so understand how much you miss him. What a lovely legacy he left you and what a lovely tribute your Floppycats website is to his sweet soul. Happy Birthday Rags!

Happy birthday to a beautiful explorer boy! In most cases 19 years is considered a long time but 19 years is not nearly long enough when it comes to time spent with a beloved companion.

I love how you remember Rags with your 8:08 posting time; one of my most favorite cats (Missy Miko) died young, and I think of her July 13th birthday every I see 7:13 on a clock. These lovable little beasts stay in our hearts forever! Thanks to you and Rags for all the great ragdoll info, stories, and pictures. =^.^=

Happy Birthday Rags…I have been following your Floppycats site for about 6 months now, and your product recommendations, reviews, and your owner’s advise has been very helpful. I have two new kittens (1-Ragdoll; 1- Ragamuffin) arriving next Friday (8/14) from a breeder in Texas. I am pretty excited, it’s been a long wait. As a note, they are both exactly 12 weeks old today (8/8).

Based on Floppycats reviews, I have purchased the below items. I think my kittens will enjoy them:

    1. Cat Power Tower Cat Tree.
    2. Brawn Cat Sleeky Comfort Throne (2).
    3. The Original Scratch Lounge.
    4. Blackhole Littermat.
    5. Round Turbo Cat Scratcher (2).
    6. JW Grip Sofy Nail Clippers.
    7. NVR Miss Litter Boxes (3).
    8. TopCatProducts.Com Scratching Post.
    9. The “Ragdoll Kitten Care Guide: Bringing Your Ragdoll Kitten Home” book.
    10. Advise from your owner (Jenny) on what to feed my kittens – “Weruva” from doggiefood.com. While I purchased a couple of cases of canned, due to my work schedule, I will have to mix with “dry” food. I KNOW, I KNOW, Jenny said “dry” food is no good, but I am hoping that by buying the best dry food (“Orijen”), it may work out okay.

Again Rags, thanks for your website and advise. Happy Birthday.

    • Jenny says:

Thanks, Fred – how exciting for you – hope you’ll share photos of the little ones!

Please let me know how the products work out and if you like them!

Be sure to feed them what they’ve eaten at the breeders until they are fully adjusted to your home and then you can transition them to what you’d like for them to be eating!

Happy birthday Rags! My birthday is tomorrow, so I’ll always remember your birthday. Special cats come into our lives, and I know you were so very special to Jenny. Without this site, I might not have heard of Ragdolls and I can’t imagine my life without Ragdoll kitties in it! Rags will never be forgotten.
