All the “Dean” cats are Leos – so the end of July through August is a busy kitty birthday time! Having Leo cats wasn’t a plan at all, but it seems like it always works out that way – times 5! Murphy is the last one to celebrate his birthday this Leo astrological month, and he’s not thrilled about it. He is very young at heart and is not interested in getting older (much like a certain human I know that he belongs to).
Murphy, who I call, “Beau” is my parents’ other Ragdoll cat from Bluegrass Rags. He is the reason my parents have Caymus, actually. I hunted for a Seal Mitted Ragdoll with a blaze 7 years ago and found Murphy’s adorable little face on Bluegrass Rags’ website. Cindy Carpenter (owner of Bluegrass Rags) had told us that with Rags being 15 (at the time) it would be best to get two kittens, so that they would play with each other and leave Rags alone. It was the best advice she could have given us. As a result, Caymus and Murphy are now permanent residents at my parents’ home, and it’s CRAZY they’re 7!!
