Do Your Cats Respond to Other Cats Meowing Online?

A great friend and reader, Michael, sent me the video, “Cat Sees New Family Dog for the First Time Freaks OUT” to play for my cats.  I chose to record their reaction when I did so – this was probably the most severe I have ever seen Charlie react to a video online.  Do you play videos for your cats to see how they will react?

As I was getting this post ready to post online – I started playing the video below to re-watch it and Charlie awoke from his deep slumber, completely concerned and confused.  I felt awful for putting him through it again, but thought the volume was low enough that he would continue to sleep.

  1. I don’t think Miss Pink Sugarbelle has ever heard another cat meowing online because I always have my headphones plugged into My Matrix Configuration (lol). And the same with my hubby. We’ve never even really thought about it. 🙂

Wow! Charlie was really upset, wasn’t he? I hope he’s okay. That poor scared kitteh in that video…hope that kitteh is okay now, too! Trigg was more like “whatevs…” lol 🙂

    Big hugs!

    Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3

P.S. I do unplug from The Matrix when Miss PSB watches her nature videos! She does respond to the duck's quacking and birds chipring, etc.. She's just fascinated with how they all got into my computer thingy! 🙂 <3

  2. Our boys do react to cats meowing, but more so to kittens peeping and babies vocalizing. I was watching a video that had a baby laughing at something and all 4 boys woke up, came over to my laptop, and sniffed it. They were wondering where the noise was coming from. Kitten videos make them want to be mamas!
