DIY Catification for Ragdoll Cats

Last Updated on July 8, 2021 by Jenny

Ragdoll Cat CatificationFloppycats’ reader Diane sent me these fun photos of the Catification project her husband did for their cats.

” I did want to show you the play area we made for our guys. Because they are going to be strictly indoor cats we wanted them to have the best. My hubby built them this housing unit to keep them occupied. We watched these kittens grow from 3 weeks on so it was really exciting getting their room ready. I just had to share it with you. I read an article that because one women had to move into an apartment her cat couldn’t go outside anymore and she didn’t have much for windows so I thought something like this would be great for her cat. Ours sunbathe on the top of the scratching post all morning. Since this picture we added a six foot pole with a roost at the top. Its covered in carpet so they can claw at it as well. Were not selling these. This was our own creation for our cats. They have run of the whole house but love their room. Feel free to share with others. It fun being creative and the cats love it too. Enjoy the pics”

I thought it was too fun and wanted to share.  Have you catified your home in some way and want to share what you’ve done?  Please feel free to e-mail me at info [at] and share your photos!

Thank you everyone for the sweet comments. Winter is nearing and my husband is getting ready for new projects for the kitty room. He is a wonderful man that I love dearly. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for us. We are both big time animal lovers and do whatever it takes to make our animals happy. The whole idea behind this project it to bring the outdoors inside for our ragdolls. Where I live its not safe for them to be roaming the streets. There are many more projects underway. Next step is adding color and plant life. I hope we inspire others to be creative as well. It is fun and rewarding for everyone

This is the most adorable thing I have ever seen! Oh what a good husband you have! He is very skilled at making elaborate kitty houses that’s for sure. Know you sweet babies are really enjoying themselves – what lucky kitties! You have put new inspiration into me and have started me thinking about what I can do to catify my home some in certain places and so my hubby doesn’t have a stroke that things are too modified all at once. Thanks so much for the photos! Just great♥♥♥
