Like the Charlie Cuddle Clone, loading the photos on the site and placing the order was uber easy – what was hard was getting the right angles of Chiggy that they wanted. Getting a cat to stay and getting a clear photo is one of the more challenging things in life. So that was really the only challenging thing.
The Chiggy Cuddle Clone has reinforced what I said in the Charlie Cuddle Clone review, “I do think that overall the Cuddle Clones dogs look more “cloned” than their cats”. I do think it turned out pretty cute though.

Cuddle Clones are made of synthetic plush fabrics. I verified with Cuddle Clones that these fabrics are safe for pets to be around.

Those are amazing. I LOVE the Chiggy Cuddle Clone. So cute and so is the Charlie one. They have definitely improved since I got mine about five years ago of my dearly departed Merlin, a medium hair tuxedo kitty. I think they did a great job on both of your two boys and sitting together, at a quick glance, they could be the real thing. Love the pictures of the real Chiggy with his clone. So adorable. Yes it was about five years ago. I suppose being mostly black with only some white (a tuxedo) it was probably harder to capture the essence as was mentioned above, but it still reminds me of my dear Merlin and I guess that is all that counts in this case. My cuddle clone seems somewhat less refined than yours, more simplistic maybe, hard to say. I think they really did a good job on both of your boys. Better detail. 🙂

thanks, patti. i don’t think i would buy a cuddle clone based on how chiggy turned out – but thank goodness they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee! still amazed at how good of job they do with dogs though!
The CCs are super cute but none of the cat ones look like their models at all. The dog CCs come out looking exactly like their model. Fascinating. I think we discussed this strange phenomenon with the CCs before. The cats just have more nuances with facial expressions and schtuff that make it hard to get the faces exact, I think. Dogs expressions are basic and obviously easy to capture for the CC creations. Yes, I wouldn’t pay that much money for a kitty CC just to have it look like a cute stuffed animal that sorta resembles my cat. 🙂 <3
I hear you. Yes, the artists do a great job at getting the coloring of the coats, etc. correct, but need to work on capturing the essence of the cat.
Essence. Yes! Cat essence is complex (curious, content, happy, loving, depressed, perplexed, angry, frustrated, vengeful, bored, etc…) and dog essence is simple (happy, loving, guilty or sad)…lol. 🙂 <3
