Cuddle Clones Custom Pet Stuffed Animal Product Review – Chiggy
Many of you are familiar with Cuddle Clones, a company that makes custom stuff animals of your pet from photos. They also have cool products like holiday stockings, slippers, golf club head covers and more – that can all feature your kitty, pup, horse, bunny and more! Cuddle Clones Reviews: We reviewed a Charlie Cuddle Clone several months ago and when we did readers asked where the Trigg (Chiggy) one was. So I reached out to Cuddle Clones to see if we could do one of Chiggy – lucky for us, they agreed. So we started the ordering process – which you can see below:
Cuddle Clones Ordering ProcessLike the Charlie Cuddle Clone, loading the photos on the site and placing the order was uber easy – what was hard was getting the right angles of Chiggy that they wanted. Getting a cat to stay and getting a clear photo is one of the more challenging things in life. So that was really the only challenging thing. The Chiggy Cuddle Clone has reinforced what I said in the Charlie Cuddle Clone review, “I do think that overall the Cuddle Clones dogs look more “cloned” than their cats”. I do think it turned out pretty cute though.
Cuddle Clone CustomizationAs you can see in the ordering video, you have some options when it comes to ordering your Cuddle Clone – even choosing which position you’d like your Cuddle Clone in and also point out special markings or features of your pet.
Cuddle Clone TimelineCuddle Clones usually take 8 weeks to make – and you do have the choice to choose a 2-week, 4-week or 6-week rush, for an additional fee.
What are Cuddle Clones Made Of?Cuddle Clones are made of synthetic plush fabrics. I verified with Cuddle Clones that these fabrics are safe for pets to be around.
Are Cuddle Clones Soft or Hard?A reader asked me this question. You can see in our Charlie Cuddle Clones review video below that I can “squeeze” the back of our Charlie Cuddle clone to pick it up. It is not completely squishable, but it is also harder.

100% RefundCuddle Clones has a rare refund policy for a company that makes customized products. If your expectations are not met, they offer a full refund. And when you send your Cuddle Clone back to them, they then sell it as an “adoptable” – so that someone else can enjoy the stuffed animal – love the no waste part of that equation.
Makes a Great GiftWhat a great gift for someone who has just lost their pet – or for a son/daughter who is going off to college, but can’t have their favorite pet in the dorm with them.
Cool or Weird?I watched an interview online with the creator of Cuddle Clones, Jennifer Williams, and she said there is never a “neutral” response to the concept of a Cuddle Clones – people either think it’s really weird or really cool. And that’s been my experience with them as a cat blogger presenting them to Floppycatters – people either think they are cool or totally weird.
Cuddle Clones Are Not ToysIf you are looking for a toy for your small child or for your dog, for example, this is not it. They would not hold up to a lot of wear and tear that a dog or a small child might cause. However, they are great for display on your bed or wherever and can withstand some hugs.

Very cute. I wonder how well they do at replicating tabby/tortie coats? I’d love to have one of my cat Leon who passed away years ago, but his coat was such a “mutt” mixture.
you could always look on their website or social media to see how they have done other tabby/tortie’s. Here’s one:
Thanks! that look pretty good. 🙂
Those are amazing. I LOVE the Chiggy Cuddle Clone. So cute and so is the Charlie one. They have definitely improved since I got mine about five years ago of my dearly departed Merlin, a medium hair tuxedo kitty. I think they did a great job on both of your two boys and sitting together, at a quick glance, they could be the real thing. Love the pictures of the real Chiggy with his clone. So adorable. Thank you for such a great review.
Thanks, Carole. You got a Cuddle Clone 5 years ago?
Yes it was about five years ago. I suppose being mostly black with only some white (a tuxedo) it was probably harder to capture the essence as was mentioned above, but it still reminds me of my dear Merlin and I guess that is all that counts in this case. My cuddle clone seems somewhat less refined than yours, more simplistic maybe, hard to say. I think they really did a good job on both of your boys. Better detail. 🙂
Fabulously pawesome post, pics & vids, Jenny!!! YAY!!!! Chiggy Cuddle Clone Arrival!! SUPER cute pics & video, Jenny!!! SOOOO FREAKIN’ CUTE!!! Both CCs are SUPER FABULOUS & ADORABLE!! They did an AMAZING JOB on both! Lurve how Chiggy is still a bit hesitant to get too close to either CC in the video (but happy to see he warmed up to it a bit when you took those precious photos!) and Charlie could care less about them!!! LMAO!!! So happy you have these CCs of your boys! I think the CCs are VERY COOL!!! 🙂 <3
Big hugs & lots of love!!!
Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3 <3 <3
thanks, patti. i don’t think i would buy a cuddle clone based on how chiggy turned out – but thank goodness they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee! still amazed at how good of job they do with dogs though!
The CCs are super cute but none of the cat ones look like their models at all. The dog CCs come out looking exactly like their model. Fascinating. I think we discussed this strange phenomenon with the CCs before. The cats just have more nuances with facial expressions and schtuff that make it hard to get the faces exact, I think. Dogs expressions are basic and obviously easy to capture for the CC creations. Yes, I wouldn’t pay that much money for a kitty CC just to have it look like a cute stuffed animal that sorta resembles my cat. 🙂 <3
I hear you. Yes, the artists do a great job at getting the coloring of the coats, etc. correct, but need to work on capturing the essence of the cat.
Essence. Yes! Cat essence is complex (curious, content, happy, loving, depressed, perplexed, angry, frustrated, vengeful, bored, etc…) and dog essence is simple (happy, loving, guilty or sad)…lol. 🙂 <3
