Contempo Treat Dispenser Giveaway Sponsored by!

Share this post:

The holidays are soon approaching and we all know how important  exercise is at keeping the weight off – well, the same goes for our kitties!  When approached me and asked me if I would be interested in doing a giveaway for the Contempo Cat Food & Treat Dispenser, I was definitely interested!

There are a lot of overweight kitties out there (usually because of dry food =( ) – so things like the Contempo Cat Food & Treat Dispenser help kitties work for their food and burn calories while the forage for it.

  1. Not to be negative, but has anybody thought about what a mess this “toy” could be? Unless you intend to follow after your kitty while he/she bats it all around the house, you are likely to end up with bits of cat treats in the oddest places. Where there is undisturbed food, it won’t take ants long to find it.

If you want your cat to get exercise, buy a stick with a toy on the end or make one yourself. I spend 30 minutes each evening exercising my brood, as the “chase” to them is more fun than actually catching the toy at the end of the string.

  2. I know a tubby cat that could benefit the calorie burning effects of this dispenser instead of just munching out of the bowl or plate for the dry and wet food put out for him.

  3. This looks fun! We have a kitty who’re we’ve switched to wet food but who still cries for a little bit of daily kibble treat. So we give him less than an 1/8th c. that we will scatter over the floor so he has to hunt and peck. This toy looks like a much better and more fun idea. Thank you for the giveaway!

  4. My kitty needs this! Not because she’s overweight (I monitor her weight carefully) but because she’s too smart. She already figured out how to roll the treat ball she has in a circle to get all the treats out as fast as possible. Anything new to keep her entertained and mentally stimulated is very welcome in my house.

  5. My cats range from 16lbs to 25lbs (They’re a bit chubby, but mainly just big cats). This would be great for them since they have a Temptaions addiction and I always give in when I get ‘The look’ when I go into the kitchen. Fun giveaway-thank you!

  6. We don’t think this is a very good idea for us, but Momma says it is necessary, if we want to keep getting treats. She says there are too many *tiger bellies* here at the Ranch. It is either this or we have to start doing more chores (which does not include napping). 🙂

  7. I foster cats/kittens in addition to our own cats and this toy would be a great way for them to play with each other. I love when they find one piece of kibble and shoot it about the floor. This would make it so much more fun for them–and it wouldn’t get eaten so fast!

    1. Judith, as always, all winners have been emailed. Since I only have their email addresses, I do not know who they are until they respond, which usually takes about 3 days. So I don’t have an answer for you today – but three “names” (i.e. email addresses) were drawn and notified – as I indicated on Facebook. Thanks!
