This is our second product review of the LG Potter Ceramic Cat Bowls. One of the two that we originally received to product review ended up having a glaze problem – it chipped when I put it on the bottom shelf of the dishwasher. So I reached out to LG Barnes of LG Potter and told him what had happened. He offered to send me another bowl and suggested a different glaze because he had had some trouble with the red glaze.
I don’t know about you, but I find that any company that is willing to replace a product is top notch. These are LG Potter’s Model L size bowls, which is a perfect size for the kitties.
I picked the following the colors:
Bubbie (Charlie) –> Iron Red
Chiggy (Trigg) –> Blue Brown
But replaced the Iron Red one for Bubbie with a Yellow glaze one after the red one cracked in the dishwasher.
I put both bowls through the dishwasher more than 20 times this time – and there has been no change in them – they have held up and have not cracked, so I do believe the crack in the red one was just a bum glaze situation.
LG Barnes uses a potters wheel to make the bowls – he first forms the bowls and then a cylinder is made for the bowl to set down inside of and then the two pieces are then compressed together.
The prices of the bowls are as follows:
- Small $30 – the size we got – this size covers a wide variety of pets that range up to 20 lbs
- Medium $40 – for pets that weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Large – $50 – for pets over 50 lbs.
There’s an additional $10 charge for the personalization (7 character limit).
They are microwavable and dishwasher safe (TOP SHELF ONLY). I love a pet food bowl or a pet water bowl that is dishwasher safe!
