Bonus Giveaway! Health Monitor Litter by Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat

Share this post:

Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Ultra is the litter I use for Charlie and Trigg.  It is a clay based clumping litter – sourced from Kansas – where we live.  I love it.

Precious Cat has just released a new litter – Health Monitor™ Litter.  I asked if we might be able to do a giveaway for it – and they agreed! YAY!

Health Monitor™ Litter is a consistentparticle sized (calibrated) scoopable litter that helps monitor kidney function, diabetes and hyperthyroidism in your cat.  Increased weight of urine balls can be a sign of kidney compromise, diabetes and hyperthyroidism. There is a chart provided on the Health Monitor™ box for you to compare the weight of your cat’s urine balls. You can also download the Health Monitor™ App to monitor your cat’s urine balls. If the weight of the urine balls is at or above the levels on the chart, your cat is urinating too much regardless of diet.

Enclosed in the Health Monitor™ box is a free digital luggage/cat scale since it is also important to monitor your cat’s weight every three months. You can find Dr. Elsey’s Health Monitor™ Litter at PetSmart and other independent retailers.

  1. Would love to win this for Miss Mari because she is already at least 9, maybe even 10, and am always worried that she might get renal failure before I am aware of it. This would be great help. Thanks for the giveaway.♥♥♥

  2. what a fantastic idea! i think this is a wonderful way to monitor what’s going on with your cat BEFORE you drag them into the vet for a huge bill. thanks for this giveaway and thanks dr elsey for being so smart!

  3. So Jenny have you tried this? And if so your opinion! I use the same litter as you for Beau and am extremely pleased with it, but have him on a raw diet and I’m always hoping he is getting all nutrients he needs. I’ve never been concerned about his urine output, and wonder if this would cause me to become alarmed unnecessarily. Anyway I think this is a wonderful idea if it works!!!!

    1. Hi Sherry – how is Mr. Beau? I was thinking today that I haven’t seen a photo of him for awhile! I have not used this litter – it is brand new. I won’t be changing litters or testing this one, as I can “monitor” their urine output from scooping their box at the moment. I became quite aware of urine output when my Rags was in chronic renal failure – they pee a lot more when their kidneys are compromised. So as long as the urine “scoops” are about the same every day with Charlie and Trigg, I am good with that.

  4. What a marvelous giveaway, Jenny! YAY! Also, Kansas rules (except for the incredibly hot and humid summers)! As you may recall, I also use the same Precious Ultra kitty litter you do (I started using it based on your recommendation a few years ago). It’s THE BEST! Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway!

    Big hugs!

    Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle 🙂 <3

  5. I love that this helps monitor cat help. This is such a neat idea. I have several cats, so being able to keep an eye out for any health issues would be wonderful.
